First Impressions

Draco Malfoy the only son of Lucius Malfoy and Narissia Malfoy nee Black. Draco was raised to not let his emotions show to others and to tell for himself when a person is worthy to know the real Draco Malfoy. Draco's godfather Severus Snape is the potions master at Hogwarts the new school Draco is going to. Right now Draco was getting fitted for his school robes while his father was getting his books. "Alright dear just over there I will be with you in a bit. There is a lad I need to finish up."
"Hello. Are you going to Hogwarts too?"
"Yes."
"Well thats good we can meet each other on the train. My father is next door getting my books. Where are your parents?"
"They died when I was little."
"Oh I'm sorry who are you with?"
"His name is Hagrid he is the gamekeeper at Hogwarts."
"My father told me about him. Where are my manners? My name is Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."
"Im Harry Potter. Nice to meet you Draco. I was raised by my mums sister, she is a muggle so i dont know much about magic but i think everything is cool."
"It is do you know what house you want to be in?"
"House?"
"Oh right. Well at Hogwarts we get sorted. They place this magical hat on your head and it reads your thoughts and your personally and puts you in whatever house you belong in. There are four houses, Ravenclaw is for the bookworms and those who hunger for knowledge, Huffelpuff is the loyal and big hearted they tend to see the best in people, Gryffindor is the brave and outgoing. My personal opinion os that they are loud and run into dangerous situations without thinking about the consequences to their actions. Last but not least is what think is the best house Slytherien for the cunning and ambitious. They are sly and will do what ever it takes to get what they want and consider all the possible out comes and what trouble may get in their way. My whole family is Slytherien but my parents said that not all kids are 100% like their parents but im hopping for Slytherien."
"You're all done Mr.Malfoy." Said the shopkeeper
"See you on the train Harry."
"See you Draco."
And with that Draco left.

********later at Malfoy Maner********
"Father I made a new friend today."
"Really who is this new friend of yours?"
"Harry Potter. He seemed scared and kind of ridged but he was nice and shook my hand and introduced himself kindly."
"Who was he with?"
"He said Hagrid was his name."
"That is peculiar i thought Albus would send Severus or McGonagall."
"Do you think I should keep him as a friend?"
"Do you want to be his friend? This is your choice, but get to know him as a person and not just his name. Do you understand."
"Yes."
"Good now go and have Dobby put your things away."
"Yes Father."

When Draco was up stairs Lucius floo called Severus
"Severus Snape."
"Hello Luc what do you need?"
"Now I know you had feelings for Lily Evans and we all hated James Potter but my son tells me that he is quite the opposite or his father."
"And pray tell me how Draco knows this."
"He met the Potter heir at the robe shop today. He said that Mr.Potter was shy and timid."
"Well Draco has been in love with the boy for years without him knowing himself."
"Yes well he is only a boy. Any way I need you to go and see how exactly Harry Potter is being treated. I may no longer be for the Dark but I do not trust the leader of the Light."
"Why me? I see no reason to be involved in your butting in people's lives. That is what you did to me."
"How else was I going to get you to come out of your shell? Plus I needed help in potions any way."
"Fine I will go and check up on him. I will report back after. Farewell my friend."
"Good day Sev."
