...*Beep Beep Beep Beep*
My alarm clock screamed in my ear as I opened my drowsy eyes.
Looking at the time, I realized I had a few more minutes to sleep in.
Well, that's what I thought until my mom walked into the room, letting the dog jump on my bed and fully waking me up.
"Rise and Shine!" my mom said to me and my sister.
I sat up realizing I had no choice but to get up and get ready. I looked over at my sister who hasn't moved a muscle. She was never a morning person.
Meet my sister Jordan. She has long dark brown curly hair, which she straitens basically every day. Even though she is 2 years older than me, I am taller than her. She has always been the popular one with lots of friends. I should let you know now that we rarely get along...
We are like opposites. The only thing we have in common is that we both play volleyball.
Yeah there's that word again 'Volleyball'. Trust me, you'll get used to it.
From my bed, I grabbed a pillow beside me and threw it at her hitting her square in the face. "Get up!" I said to her.
All I got out of her was a groan.
You know, I'm not the girl to wear makeup. Like I only wear mascara ...and I wear it only on special occasions.
Also, I usually wear my hair up everywhere I go. If I wear it down and you see it, your a special person.
My eyes are a hazel with brown, blue, and green swirls. I love my freaking eyes. Just how the colors are blended....
My hair is a hazel nut color and it reaches a inch past my shoulder.
You might be catching on why my name is Hazel...
I threw on a pair of jeans and a Penn State sweatshirt. Being the beginning of fall, you never know what your going to get in Ohio. Only in Ohio you have 70 degree weather one day and the next you have a snow day. True story...
Like today it's 60 degrees and when I leave the school there could be 3 inches of snow on the ground. It's crazy!
Anyways... I straitened my hair and pulled my hood on my hoodie over my head.
By the time I got downstairs, my mom was gone and left some bacon with a note "Leave some for Jordan"
I grabbed the keys to my pickup truck. When I was in the vehicle, I saw the lights to the room that me and my sister share flicker off. Jordan walked out of the house locking it behind her.
I started the engine and pulled out of the drive way and started heading to school.
',',',',',',',',',',',',',',',
I pulled into a parking spot closest to the school doors.
I turned the truck off and pulled out the keys.
Walking into the school I notice the banner in big bold letters saying:
"HOMECOMING IS GETTING CLOSER! DO YOU HAVE A DATE YET?"
'No' I thought to myself.
You see, I'm not the most popular person. I'm at rock-bottom. I'm a nerd. And a giant freak. And not the prettiest girl alive or the skinniest either.
I finally got to my locker to see Joelle just sitting there waiting for me. Her eyes were glued to her phone. I laughed in my head a little before walking closer to her.
