Year One With the Marauders

The Prank

It was Halloween morning. Leigh gets out of her comfortable bed and gets ready for the day; a little excited for her first Hogwarts Halloween. She walks into her common room.

The Slytherin common room was found in the dungeons of Hogwarts. It's a long stone room under the Great Lake; giving it an odd green glow. On the walls; and in the elegant furniture, were elaborate carvings. It might have been a little different then the other common rooms; but it felt perfect to Leigh, she always preferred to sleep in colder places then warmer anyways.

As she's looking around the common room, she sees a person who shouldn't be sitting in a chair next to the fire in the Slytherin common room. Considering her own common room was closer to the kitchen.

"Kat? What-? How-?" Leigh stutters confused.

"Good morning, Leigh," Kat says innocently.

"What-? No, how did you get in here?" Leigh finally asks.

Kat smirked as her not answering her question.

"Kat, seriously. What are you doing in here?" Leigh asks seriously.

"I came to wait for you," Kat replies innocently.

"Alright..." Leigh says unsure; and lets the topic drop. "Let's go to breakfast."

"Okay," Kat says as she hops up from her seat by the fire and starts towards the entrance of the common room.

They made their way to the Great Hall; they talk about all the decorations that had been put up during the night. They walk into the great Hall and go to their tables and start eating. Half way through breakfast there was a loud:

*BANG*

All the students look around confused, and find that everyone has blue hair. Reactions vary from laughter to screams of horror. Leigh turns toward the screams of horror first and sees Jay clutching his hair looking horrified; while Kat picks up a spoon to see herself. She pulls a few strands into her eyesight and smiles excitedly.

"I love it!" She exclaims.

Leigh looks around the Great Hall again, trying to find where the laughter was coming from. She looks to the other side of the hall to find James, Sirius, Remus and Peter; with their normal hair colour, laughing at everyone's reactions.

Professor McGonagall comes down from the teachers table and walks up to the four boys.

"I'm guessing this was you four?" She asks; while the boys laugh harder at her blue hair.

"Yes, ma'am," they chorus after their laughter died down enough.

Professor McGonagall nods ans motions for them to follow her, while she turns to Professor Dumbledor; whose hair was also blue, to get him to come as well. Professor Dumbledor had to banish the mirror he had appear to see himself, got up and followed Professor McGonagall and four boys from the Great Hall. Eventually, the chatter died down enough for students to start heading off to classes; still with blue hair.

Leigh gets up and catches up with Kat ans Jay; just as Jay was exclaiming, "My hair... Why my hair!?"

"I like it," Kat says, playing with her own. "I might just keep it like this for a little bit."

Leigh smiles and says, "I'll admit; it was an impressive bit of magic, but I think we could pull a better prank then them."

Kat and Jay look over to her and smirk. "What do you have in mind?" They ask at the same time.

"Well..." Leigh starts.

Time Skip

A couple days later, Leigh walks into the Great Hall and sits at her house table right when the owls for mail come flying in. One of them flies down after spotting her and lands in front of her sticking out her leg for Leigh to take the note.
