1. The Beginning

Summer's POV
I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I was so excited for today it was the first day of High School. I am excited for my friends to see my new Summer. I changed at camp and I don't think I am going back. I didn't completely change and go dark or bad, I just want to focus on me and to be more confident in myself. In high school we didn't have uniforms and I was happy. I changed into this:

And I pushed up my sleeves to my elbows. I went to my bathroom and got ready and put on a simple natural makeup and I went to move onto my hair. Since my hair is naturally curly I just fixed it with my curler and turned it to this: (cleaner side part though)

I went to my room and grabbed all of my stuff and put it in my blush backpack. I walked down stairs and quickly ate my breakfast of eggs and bacon and headed out the door. I walk to school cause it is only a few blocks away. Tomika texted me a lot this summer since we weren't able to see each other unfortunately. I only got to see Lawrence this summer once or twice. I walk into the building and quickly move myself to my locker. I was 30 minutes early, but I didn't care. We were able to get Mr. Finn to be our Teacher some how. Tomika was planning on coming 20-15 minutes early so that we can catch up. So in the 10 minutes I have to spare I pulled out my Manger binder and sat and organized it all. I had a list of possible gigs and I called them and was able to get there business emails to sent them out sound track I planned on in the next few days to get a few songs on demo in audio to send to business people for gigs and stuff. Perfectly when I finished Tomika arrived. She ran to me at top speed and we hug tightly and she said," Summer! You GLOWED UP!" I laughed and looked at my best friend she was wearing this:

She still had her Black backpack with patches all over it and her black and white skateboard as well. We talked about everything as we got her locker in check and it was I realized only 10 minutes tell class. Tomika headed to the bathroom and I headed to my locker to grab my bag. I was on the lookout for our friends and I stepped outside. And as I was looking I heard," LOOK OUT!" I quickly jump out of the way and see a very familiar hair, it was Freddy. My crush on Freddy went down a bunch over the summer. It helped that I was the "it" girl at camp and I dated I guy in the same thing as me. He liked a girl at home and we dated to get people off of our backs and so people don't flirt and stuff with us as much. I smiled and said," Freddy! You could have killed me!" with a laugh. He quickly looked up and said," Summer? That's you? You look so... different!" I giggled and said," Tomiks said the same thing except different words. I seem to to recall a very loud scream of,' Summer you glowed up' in my ear!" He laughed, but he was taken a back a little still, weird. I then spot a familiar blond and black haired duo and screamed," LAWRENCE! ZACK!" And ran to them leaving Freddy in my dust. It give them a big group hug before the could register who I even was. The both said," Summer? That's you?" I giggle and hook there arms in mine and say," Why of course! Come on Tomika is waiting inside?" I unhook my arms and run inside to our class room. And in entering I see a first, Mr. Finn early. "Mr. Finn!" I scream and hug him and he says," hey Summer, should have guess you would be the first in class" soon Tomika and the gang all head inside and we all sit down. I am so excited for this school year!
