Chapter 4: The Dreaded Tests

Setting is in the camp by the way…

Brittany POV

Week two has already begun and I feel like I have been here forever but we were told this was going to be one of the bigger weeks. Last week though was really just game, after game, after game. I was pretty proud of the group though; Alissia, Noah, Connor and I. We practically dominated in all of them, using methodical thinking and planning it was good. Now one to this week…

At the lunch last week we were told about some tests, obviously nobody had any idea about what was happening until they told us they would start today. The tests were being run in pairs, meaning one girl and one boy. I had Noah because Alissia had the cheeky idea of wanting to ask Connor some questions, not shy at all. I also wanted to suss out Noah so I went along with it.  The pairs were then put into a larger group, one half doing agility tests and the other doing mental tests.

The groups went our separate ways and Noah and I went to the agility test first with the other pairs. To tell you the truth I suck at sport. We had to run for five minutes straight and then do endurance tests including planks, sit ups, push ups and others I had no idea about. I really thought I was going to die.

Noah had no trouble though, he was just breezing through all of the exercises, I did actually see a six pack when he was doing the chin ups. I can see why the girls and Alissia were flirting with him after all. I was really just feeling weak and silly through the entire thing, especially standing next to Noah. He did end up asking me if I needed some help or quick cheats to help me get through the test with a good score. He did tell me though that he wanted to make a deal, his help for some answers he wanted, no doubt questions about Alissia.

When the test was finally over, we were told to wait back in the open area near the cabins, because the mental test was still going on. We all packed up and got back with enough time to relax and in my case catch a breath. I then decided to head to our cabins bathroom to wash off the dirt and sweat, disgusting. As soon as I left the bathroom, clean and dressed, I saw Noah sitting at the end of Alissia’s bed.

“Hey are you okay?” I asked.

“You ready for an interrogation?” he asked back with a smirk on his face.

Oh great here comes the questions, Alissia is definitely going to kill me!

Alissa’s POV

“Connor I don’t see why you’re even going to try, I’m not going to tell you anything” I answered teasingly at him as I was jogging to the test arena. I was laughing at the same time though as I was watching Connor trying to catch up, not good at sports I’m guessing.

“Please just tell me I want to know” he asked, pleading me for answers on his questions about Brittany.

“I don’t owe you anything so no is still no”, I said to him as I arrived to the front door. Connor and his questions stopped to a halt completely as we both look up to analyse the large grey building, towering in front of us. As Connor caught his breath I was already entering the big glass doors. As I walked in I am automatically stopped by a security personal and a young woman wearing a lab coat. She motioned for the group and I that had obviously caught up, into a large white isle. On each side there was a row of four doors for each pair, girl and guy. Connor and I looked at each other and picked the one the woman was indicating too.
