An autumn morning,
When I first saw him,
In a class of eighty students,
He sat looking grim.
-
I stared at him wondering,
How haven’t I noticed him,
I felt a connection,
Tough I could barely see him.
-
Feeling my stare he turned,
Our eyes locked,
My breath stopped,
At me, fate mocked.
-
For I never believed,
Love was my cup of tea,
One look and I fell hard,
He was the only one I could see.
-
The teacher; the lecture,
I could hear none,
Even the students in the class,
Were all but gone.
-
But I could never talk,
For I felt shy.
He too never initiated,
I kept wondering “Why?”
-
But one winter evening,
He called my name,
Since we talked in the deserted lawn,
I had never felt the same.
-
Meeting every evening,
Over message we chatted,
Long phone calls we had,
To each other we were addicted.
-
We were inseparable,
As everything we shared,
More than Anything else,
For each other we cared.
-
Best friends we became,
As our friendship grew,
Till the early summer night,
When he told me, “I love you.”
