Snow White and Scarlett Rose

Chapter Five

          

Anna's daughter Lily was showing us her doll that she made.

"Maybe it needs a skirt or something?" she wondered holding a piece of fabric to the bottom

"That's nice" I smiled

"What about a face?" Snow asked

"You're mother wants to see you?" The Huntsman said Lily stood up and i gave her back her doll before going to see her mother.

"Why didn't you tell me?" i looked up i knew by the way he was looking at us. "Because i think it was to difficult a task?  You'd be right." Snow and I looked at each other before back at him

"We didn't trust you." Snow said

"I'm sorry" i added and he shook his head leaving.

It was night and Anna had offered us both a bed. We watched as she soothed   Lily to sleep.

"Our scars protect us" we looked up to her "Without beauty we are worthless to the Queen. It's a sacrifice we made so we could raise our children in peace while their fathers are at war.

"And you, you're sacrifice will come." We nodded "You must rest" I hummed and we slid down falling asleep.

We were awoken by a bang and our eyes opened seeing a flaming arrow.

"Lily!" we shot up and grabbed the little girl "Lily, come on" the three of us ran out.

"Run rats, Run" We heard Finn.

"To the boats" i told my sister and we grabbed a hand of Lily's each running to where the boats were. We met up with Anna who picked up her daughter. We kept on running and i looked back  a burning structure hit the ground and i stopped. There on the other side was a man my age maybe a little older and he looked oh so familiar. he stared at me

"Scarlett Rose!" My sister pulled me away and we started running again. We made it to the boats and i helped with putting children in when i was picked up along with Snow. I started screaming he knocked Anna away but then let us go.

"Let's go!" it was the Huntsman

"No! We have to help them" Snow protested

"You will. Go." Anna replied and we were pulled away and started running for our lives. We ran through the hay all night and into the forest before we finally stopped . I collapsed to the ground panting

"I'm sorry" i sat myself up and looked at him along with my sister "I'm sorry"

"you're not"

"I am"

"You left us" i countered and then i remembered everyone there and i cried

"We should never have been there, it's all our fault" Snow brought me into her arms and we comforted each other.

"Listen, I'll take the two of you to Duke Hammond's okay." we looked up "Alright, you have my word" before i could reply were attacked. I tried to fight them off but it was no use. The three of us ended up being strung up by our ankles. We were captured by dwarfs

"Oh no, dwarves" Huntsman groaned

"The hedge pig I loathe most in the world lands right in our lap."

"come on, Beith is that any way to treat a friend?" he knew these people? Lovely something tells me, my sister and I will have to find something to get us out of this predicament.

"Oh no, no, no you puttock this is how i treat a friend" he hit our guide and he groaned

"She's pretty" one of them smiled adoringly at us. He seemed sweet i like him, i would like him a lot more if i wasn't upside down.

"And who is this?" Beith asked "Are they an errant apprentices or captives?"

"This man is helping us?" Snow answers

"We should kill them all" and his men agreed

"Skewer him and leave her to rot. I don't like killing girls."

"I do"

"Good"

"Leave her alone Diur" another says "He's got nothing. One silver coin and a empty codpiece."  Huntsman was hit again

"Two days we sat here. What for? Nothing" another hit

"We should have stayed by the river. What a waste of time."

"Cut us down Bieth. I have gold i can pay ya. It's not here it's hidden back in the woods"

"Shut your ugly mug huntsman, if you had any pennies you would have pissed it away on mead by now.

"Okay, tell them the truth huntsman. There's no time!"

"I have to take these girls to Hammonds, they're not safe here

"Well my little heart bleeds for ya."

"That's enough! I am Princess Scarlett Rose of Tabor this is my twin sister, Princess Snow White. Our father was King Magnus. " i call to them and the all become quite "Our lives are worth nothing if you're all dead. The Queen's men hunt us because my sister and I escaped after being held for 11 years in a cell. This huntsman gave us his word to take us to safety and you do not let us go it will all be in vain. Now i don't fine men such as yourselves want that do you?"

"Muir, does she speak the truth?" Beith asks and Muir removes his mask

"Yes, they are of the blood. They are destined, Beith. i see an end to the darkness" they all look up and then i hear whining horses.

"I find it disappointing when I'm right

"Riders!" one of them shouted

"If you don't cut us down we'll all be killed" Snow states

"I don't like this Beith it smells like trouble."

"You'll find your weight in gold if you cut us down now!" i add

"Shut up princess." Gort snapped

"Queen's riders. And they're coming this way."

"We will taken them but not him."

"No, all of us!" Snow replies and they have no choice

"Gut them both down, Gort and let's get out of here." the release us and we are lead away. Into a tunnel and a large cave where the dwarves talk.  It opened up into a beautiful green forest nothing like we've seen since we escaped. I looked around in wonder.

"This is amazing" i breathed

"Bloody fairy music."

"Here, good thing there's a lot of moss about.

"Where are we?" We asked Gus.

"They call it sanctuary my ladies. It's the home of the Fairies"

"Clear"

"Coll...Clear" i giggled slightly 

"Set up camp. Gus Qiurt make a fire." i ignored the rest as i took Snow away and we touched a tree with lots of butterflies. I giggled again as the flew past us and one came to sit on my finger.
