Snow White and Scarlett Rose

Chapter Six

          

It was now night and I leaned my head on my sister's shoulder. Gus was playing a tune quietly

"Play louder you whey-face, i can still hear those harpy fairies " I smiled a little

"Duir, would you really have killed them?" we heard Coll

"Yeah, of course" I looked up and over at them sending them a hard glare Coll winced and looked away.

"I would never let them kill you" i said to my sister.

"Nor I you." we smiled at one another.

"Let us go talk to Muir" I nodded and we stood up making our way over

"That seats not taken if that's what you were about to ask" he said knowing we were there. We knelt down

"We want to thank you" Snow told him

"It's only a log. There's no need to thank me"

"No, for before. For defending us" I corrected him

"Ah you're father was a good man, the kingdom prospered. Our people prospered"

"There were more of you?"

"Yeah. The men you see before you and many, many more went deep into the caves. We were noble gold Miners because we could see le light in the darkness.  Gus, Gus." Gus stopped playing "You were just a boy you remember. when we returned to the surface, there was nothing.  The land was blackened. Everything and everyone was gone. Was dead" Gort told us

"That was the month your father died."

"We're very sorry" we apologised

"As I'm I Princesses. As am i. Son play a happy song"

"Why spend your leisure barefoot of pleasure. Amassing treasure  Why you scrape and save? Why look so canny at every penny? you'll taken your money to your grave." Gus came over

"I know I'm a bit icky, but would you care for a dance?" he asked my sister.

"Muir would you like to dance with me?" i asked

"You would dance with a blind man?"

"It would be my pleasure" i stood up and we went over to join the other two. I laughed as i saw Gus hug my sister.  For once since i was younger i couldn't be anymore happier.

The next morning i was woken up my squawking. I opened my eyes and the two birds that helped us had arrived. I sat up and so did my sister and we watched them fly down. From in the two fairies came out. they started taking to each others before flying off.

We stood up and followed them not taking notice of the others. We continued walking  into the sunlight and through leaves till we saw a great tree and in front of that tree was a large white stag with Antlers so big. We gasped and went closer. Now standing in front of him we reached up to pet him and he closed his eyes at out touch then bowed to us. We then bowed back and continued to pet it.

twang. the stag groaned in pain and i saw and arrow coming out he become panicked and we were pulled back. We started running again back toward the others and through the forest.

"Go that way, go, go" we headed a different way splitting from the Huntsman i knew now to be named Eric.  There was a horse on us and i tried to push myself to go faster. I looked back and the rider held out their arm. I grabbed it and pulled him off. I got up and looked at the rider. Gus went to attack.

"Not it's me, it's William. It's William"

"William!" i jumped and hugged him his arms went around my waist returning it.

"I missed you." i breathed

"As have i Scarlett Rose." i pulled away and Snow hugged him . We just sat in silence, William had my hand in his.

"Arrow" i was knocked out of the way and Gus hit the ground.

"Gus" i looked down at him with a arrow sticking out. He was gasping for life

"Gus, Gus." he looked at Snow. "Gus Breathe, Gus breathe." he slowed his breathing

"I won't leave you misses" I nodded

"Of course you won't you're our hero." I smiled tearly at him. He smiled then closed his eyes. I looked at my sister and hugged her
