Thomas when he tells you that he doesn't fit in here and you are telling him your story on how you survived the last three years with all boys. You tell him that you may look confident but deep down you are scared since you are the only girl here with a bunch of boys. That you have to worry about not just the Grievers in the maze but the boys out here. You then point out that only a few boys including him she doesn't have to worry about. Thomas looks at you touching your hand with his and he tells her that he won't let anyone hurt her, he promises you.

Thomas: I have been here only two days and already I don't fit in anywhere here

You: It takes time Tommy...I have been here for three years you'll be okay

Thomas: You seem so confident

You: I'm not as confident as you may think Thomas...the truth is I am terrified. Thomas I have been here for three years, surrounded by all boys...all of them looking at me...drooling over me. I am afraid to sleep most nights because of what could happen...here we have those Grievers out there and I have to worry about them and the boys here. Well not all of them; Newt, Alby, Chuck, Minho and of course you don't do that.

Thomas: *looks at you* I won't let anything happen to you...*he takes your hand and gives it a small squeeze* I promise.
