Speechless

Justin's POV

Riley looked stunning! When I came in and saw her in front of me I couldn't not grab her. Ever since that kiss earlier today, I haven't been able to think about anything else but her. I wanted her to be my official date, but I didn't know her number so I couldn't call her. Its like I'm under a spell. I want to do everything it takes to make her mine. I don't care if she makes me take her in a date every night. I'll do it until she says yes. Riley seems different,and with her I'm going to make sure I do everything right. I'm going to go above and beyond. I want to help make her every wish come true. Whether she wants me too or not. She deserves it.

My seat originally wasn't right next to her,but I asked to get it switched. I wanted to sit next to her. I couldn't stop stealing glimpse at her. She was distracting me from the event that I was speaking at! She would sometimes meet my glare and she would smile a cocky smile and turn her head. Yea, I think she likes me. Before I knew it she was standing up walking to the stage. Her dress flowing with each strut she took.

She began her speech, "Firstly I would just like to say that I am so honored to have been invited to this event. I have much sentimental connection to this school, and I am firm believer that education is everything. This very school made the foundation for the woman that I am today, and I would like to thank Northwestern Secondary for that . I know from first hand experience that the teachers actually care about the students, and they want them to succeed. I'm also very honored to introduce to you, to your special guest speaker. This man is a very successful, go-getter with a drive like no other. He is very dedicated and passionate about his work. He is also my former classmate, friend, and everybody's crush! I would like to introduce to you, Justin Bieber." She looked at me the entire time she talked about me. She was amazing, her public speaking was excellent. As I got up her face lighted up even more so, as she flashed her bright with teeth to me. I approached the stairs to go up on the stage, Riley was coming down. She was grabbing the bottom of her dress as she walked. I offered her my hand so I could help her down the steps. I then kissed the back of her hand.

"Thanks for that Riley." I said. I walked onstage and began my speech.

My speech was about 25 minutes. It was long and heart felt and as punishment Scoot actually made me work on it. So I wrote most of it,and of course my people went over and made it sound more polished, but yes I actually write my own speech! I had just finished talking about one of my memories about one of my old teachers at this school before somebody interrupted me.

"Excuse me. I have a few questions for you that I'm sure the crowd would like for you to answer." I heard a few gasps come from the crowd. This man just stopped me mid-sentence! I looked to my left it was a stout, middle-aged man, with glasses standing up. I didn't really know what to say, it was uncommon for someone to be bold enough to interrupt a speech. I wasn't about to stop my speech for him, he would just have to wait until I was finished.

"I would be happy to answer questions after the event Sir." I said as respectfully as I could considering p he was older than me, but this dude really had some nerve.

"Oh it will only take a second Mr.Bieber. I'm Bart Kingsley, and I'm a fellow member of the Stratford board of education." He began to speak despite the fact that I just politely asked him to wait! I opened my mouth about to protest but he continued talking!

"I'm sure your aware of the debate going on with on the board. I'm one of the people on the board who wishes for this school to be closed, for reasons that vary. But please Mr.Bieber explain to us why would we keep this school open if you are a product of it. You are a 21 year old man with no college education, and you have been arrested before. You are a burden to the country of Canada! If you ask me you are more of a reason to close down the school!" I was astonished.

Less than two years ago I had planned on going to college, but then I came out with the journals and more music started just flowing. Then the stupid on and off roller coaster with Selena kinda just got me caught up. She moved on officially a few months ago so I don't know what's been preventing me from moving on. And I got arrested almost a year and a half ago! Will they move on already! I thought before I replied.

"My career found me earlier than most, but that still doesn't change what this school provided for me. It helped me become--" I was once again cut off.

"You are a pathetic excuse for a man, and if we continue to keep this school open the we will have a bunch of little Justin Bieber's running around and that's the last thing our city needs! Uneducated jail birds like you!" And with that sentence I was speechless.
