you : why didnt you tell me anything? you texted me earlier. why did you not remind me about it?

lucas : who told you?

you : lucas, that doesn't matter. answer my questions please.

lucas : I've known you for a long time now. i know you better than anyone does including yourself. if you seriously think I didn't noticed how upset and stressed you've been lately, then i must not be as good as a friend as I thought.

you : ... you're the greatest friend in the world. i can't believe you noticed. I tried everything to hide it.

lucas : you didn't hide it well enough i guess.

you : is that why you didn't tell me about the event when you texted?

lucas : yes, i didn't want you being even more depressed than you have been lately.
lucas : i hate seeing you like this. it hurts.

you : lucas, baby, i know things with me have been difficult lately but that doesn't mean I don't want to go to your events.
you : being around you takes my mind off of all the things that have been happening.
you : life isn't the greatest, i know. one thing i know for sure though is life is always better with you.
