Dear Death,

8 3 2

When you take me, make it sweet.
I don't want to see red or feel blue.
I don't want to be green with envy,
I should be tickled pink when you do.

I ponder about you when I'm feeling low,
As I stare dreamily into the sky.
I hope that you make me into a rainbow.
That hugs my family when they cry.

I hope that when it happens you will hold my hand,
And lead me away with haste.
And teach me what I still don't understand.
And see me as more than a waste.

I don't think I'll become much more,
but until we meet, I'll try.
Until we meet, I'll live happily.
Until we meet,

Goodbye.

Yours sincerely,
