Snow Day

I watch as the sky slowly crumbles.
The grey clouds like its thick coat.
I watch as the snow softly tumbles,
I watch as the snow gently floats.

I watch as the sky slowly crumbles.
Coating the earth in fluffy, cool white.
The wind quietly rumbles,
The stars glisten in the pale moonlight.

When I wake and peer outside,
It'll look like a heavenly dream.
The blistering cold, I shall set aside,
To watch it glisten under sunbeams.

The children smile brightly like the sky above,
As their parents look on, content.
The night full of laughter, liveliness; love,
As everybody remembers their time well spent.
