Hermione was sitting one one of her favorite spots at sea, reading. Dumbledore had been right, the moment she bought the books they became impervious to water. She was reading Hogwarts: A History by Bathilda Bagshot once more. That book had become her favorite the moment she opened it and read the first page, and she has read that book from cover to cover, yet she went back to it. Her legs were crossed as she read it again once more. She didn't have to worry too much about humans, since her spot was secluded by rocks that could sink sail boats and smaller ships.

After a few more chapters of reading into the book, Hermione heard a boat coming close to her direction so she dove into the water and waited for said vessel to pass by. Waiting should have been the obvious choice, yet as the boat passed, Hermione noticed that it had no rotor to propel it, or sails to help it move along the water so easily. Curious, she left her book in her favorite spot and followed the boat at a certain distance, hiding with her surroundings easily thanks to her tail being sea green with some blue in color. The boat started to slow down and stopped almost suddenly leaving Hermione to believe that whoever was on board was a magical being.

Carefully she got closer and saw three figures standing at the starboard side of the boat. The first thing she noticed was that all three of them had blond hair, yet the youngest of the three seemed to have almost platinum hair in color. 'A family of wizards!' were Hermione's thoughts as she got closer from an angle she knew they wouldn't see her and focused on their conversation.

"I must say Lucius, I enjoy the sun and the view. If only it weren't so close to these muggles."

"I know Narcissa, but ignore them. Today is important."

Hermione came to the conclusion that they were purebloods. She focused more on what they were talking about.

"Remember what I've taught you Draco, and you will always come on top."

"Yes Father, I will make you proud."

"Enough of that now, when you arrive at Hogwarts remember that you are a Malfoy, and remember to stay with your own."

Part of that statement left Hermione confused. 'What is so important about that name?' She was going to continue listening on them, when she felt it. A change in the ocean's current and the wind. Focusing, her eyes widen and she dove, swimming to the back of the boat and letting her head float above water and started to use her ocean given magic and sent a small wave towards the boat, jostling it in the process. Diving and swimming towards the boat again.

"Lucius is something wrong with the motion spell?"

"Nonsense, the spell is perfect and...wait..." Silence followed. Hermione could only listen as she hid partially under the vessel. "It would appear that there is a storm heading this way. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but we should head back to the hotel."

The boat started to move and Hermione swam underneath it, getting more of a feel of the magic that surrounded the boat, and getting an easier ride towards her favorite spot. Once they were near, she stopped and after getting her book, she swam quickly towards her home, making it just in time to see the sky darkening.

...

The sky had darken quickly, the calm sea was calm no more. People hurried to their homes quickly before the storm arrived completely, families worrying for their young ones. Yet one family seemed to stand out from the crowd, and it's no mystery as to why, for said family had uncommon blond hair. They could be seen heading over to The Gilded Chariot, a hotel that is among the most expensive, if not the most expensive ones in that town and well known for it's beautiful view of the ocean. The mother and father were walking with pride and as if they owned the place and people should obey their every whim. Yet their son, though having the same look, posture and expression as his parents, on the inside he was slightly confused and tired.
