WHEN IN GREECE
Leah woke up in her hotel room around 10 and she was immediately reminded of what happened yesterday with that stranger the second she opened her eyes. God, she can't believe that actually happened. Groaning, she buried her head into her pillow in frustration.
Alex - as she leaned his name was - continued to talk to Leah even though she was grumpy and didn't want to talk back. She doesn't like strangers, especially guys she just met who flirts with her - she thinks it's creepy. Not that Alex flirted with her - that she realized at least - but she didn't like his presence anyhow.
But for some reason, she gave in to Alex. Putting her phone down - realizing she wouldn't get any writing done anyway with him sitting beside her - she started to respond to his questions. He asked what her name was, how long she was going to be here in Crete, where she's from and such. Simple small talk.
And Leah started to question Alex too; wondered if he lived here, what he did as a living and such. She learned it was easy to talk to him even though he refused to say what his own job was.
When the clock turned 5, the bartender had already left - Alex had ordered it and the bartender for some reason listened without fighting him or questioning it - and Leah realized she should head back too but Alex insisted on walking her back to her room, said he didn't want her to walk alone.
Leah was a little reluctant, since she just met the guy but she knew she wouldn't cave if he asked her to come in. She would never sleep with a complete stranger, and she would always follow that rule of hers. So they walked together out from the bar but didn't get further than the pool outside where Leah stopped dead in her tracks.
It was beautiful during the day with palm trees and such around it, but during the night.... Wow. Leah thought. It was even more beautiful.
The pool was lit up and it was completely mesmerizing; the clear blue water looked so inviting that Leah's only thought was that she just had to take a swim in this beautiful scenery and she wanted to be impulsive for once.
So turning around, she smiled mischievously at the Greek god she just met. "Want to join me for a swim?" She didn't know what the courage came from, but she was in Greece so why not ask a stranger if he wants to take a dip with her in the pool in the middle of the night? It's not like she would take this opportunity another time and it's a high chance she will never see him again anyhow.
Alex had been surprised by her question and said that you're not supposed to swim this late in the night. Said that the owner of the hotel might dislike the idea of two people disturbing the peace for other guests.
But Leah only responded saying they would be quiet and that the hotel owner would have a stick up his ass if he would get mad at them for simply enjoying the beautiful pool.
Alex laughed at that and then a moment later, started to loosen his tie.
Leah smiled in victory before bending down and took off her sandals and then her bag. Lastly, she pulled the straps on her dress down her shoulders and let the material pool down to her feet, standing there in nothing but her black lace underwear.
Looking up, she saw the Greek god staring back at her with an unreadable expression and when her eyes roamed up and down his body, she was once again reminded that he was perfect; his chest was perfectly defined, he was perfectly tall and his eyes... Leah thought they could see into her soul. They were light blue, ice like and Leah thought they were breathtaking. Her heart skipped a beat as she gazed into them.
