WHEN IN GREECE
Alexando drummed his hands against the steering wheel, anxious to start driving again and get to Leah before she would board the plane and leave him for good. When the road finally was cleared, he drove like a man on a mission. His was to get to the person he loved.
When he arrived at the airport, he quickly hurried inside, ran past endless of people as he headed for the departure board. His heart beats million beats per second as he looked for the information of the plane that would leave for Sweden. He was truly scared it had already left.
... And it had. It came like a rush, Alexandro felt so drained and disappointed.
It was too late, Leah was gone.
He couldn't breathe, it felt as if he was going to have a heart attack just like his mother. Leah was gone and he didn't even tell her how he felt about her, he should have done it yesterday.
He sat down on a bench, his legs shook and it felt as if he would collapse any minute now. He buried his head in his hands as he started to school himself for not leaving earlier. But his mother was in the hospital, he couldn't just leave either and he would have been on time if it weren't for the accident. But because of that, his love had now left without a goodbye from him or knowing what he felt for her.
He was about to cry and it's not often he does that. But then he realized something; he could fix it.
Later tonight when they have landed in Sweden again, he'll call her and tell her he loves her and wants to make it work. Even if they have to have a long distance relationship at first. They could make it work.
Smiling again, Alexandro stood up from the bench but this time not depressed but felt hopeful. He could fix this. Turning around to walk back to his car, it wasn't long before he stopped dead in his tracks. He blinked, not sure if what he saw was truly there or just an illusion. He blinked again. No, she was still there.
"You came." Leah spoke softly. They stood many meters away from each other, gazing at each other in shock.
"I promised you I would" Alexandro stood frozen but his lips slowly started to turn upwards into a smile.
Leah laughed in happiness before it once again turned serious. She gave him a hard look. "You're late." She accused.
Alexandro's smile disappeared and he looked at her with remorse. "I know, I'm so sorry." He apologized. "You're not on the flight?" He walked slowly closer to her.
"I couldn't leave."
Alexandro continued to walk towards her in a slow pace until he stood before her. "What about Sweden? Your friends and family?" He remembered what she had said earlier. His heart beats insanely fast as he waited for the answer.
Leah looked at him with her beautiful dark blue eyes and her next words flew right into his heart. "You won't be there... I'm staying for another week but then I have to get back." She owed herself to try and make this work, but a week was all she could give them. After that she had to get back to work and back to Sweden. At least for a while, depending how this works.
"We'll see where this leads - you and me..." Alexandro took the last remaining step closer to her. "and if I have to do long distance for a while..." he placed his hands on her hips and pulled her flush against his hard body. "then that's what I'm going to do..." Leah smiled up at him. "If that's what it takes to be with you."
"Good..." she smiled back at him in pure happiness. "because I feel the same way." She circled her arms around his neck.
Then they kissed. A little nibbling, sucking and too much heat than what they should have shown on an airport full of strangers. Someone who walked passed them muttered "Get a room." but they didn't pull apart.
