WHEN IN GREECE

Alexandro's heart dropped when he heard his mother's words. "She's not Greek." She stared at Leah with a confused expression, as if she couldn't understand why her son would want to be with someone none Greek.

"I know mamá." Alexandro said as he took a step closer to her and gripped her hands in his. Her focus turned towards Alexandro instead of Leah and that's what he wanted, he could see how nervous Leah became. "I love her, mamá." As he said the words, he couldn't help but to smile. Every time he says he loves her, he starts to smile.

His mother looked at him with a strange expression. "You love her?"

"I do, mamá." His smile was so bright, she had never seen him that happy.

She looked back at Leah, still with an unreadable expression and her voice was flat when she spoke. "Does she love you back?" She looked at Leah up and down and Leah felt really uncomfortable. She could see in Daria's eyes how hesitant she was and it felt as if she was judging her.

Alexandro smiled as he looked back at Leah. He could see how uncomfortable she was but when her eyes met his, she instantly relaxed and smiled brightly at them. "She does. I love her and she loves me."

Daria believed him, she could see the love in that girls eyes when she looked at him. She loved her son and her son loved her back. "What was her name again?" Daria asked her son.

"Leah, mamá." He let go of one of her hands and guided her towards his love. "Leah, meet my mother Daria." He spoke English now.

Leah smiled at Daria. She was nervous as hell under her stare but she managed to smile brightly anyhow. "It's nice to meet you, Alexandro has told me so much about you." Leah said and Alexandro translated since his mother didn't understand English that well.

Daria relaxed, the girl did seem nice and she looked so kind when she smiled. Her eyes scanned her body once again; she was also beautiful she realized with her pale skin, curvy body, dark blue eyes, and blond long hair.

Their babies would be so cute, she realized and smiled brightly. And they love each other, that's what's most important she reminded herself. Not that their kids will be beautiful, even though that's a plus.

Alexandro was surprised to see his mother smile. He had no idea what changed but it made him happy. The rest of the day carried on without any problems. They ate amazing food that Daria had prepared earlier together with Alessa. Leah and Daria tried to converse, Alexandro or Alessa had to translate occasionally but Alexandro didn't mind. What was important was that his mother looked happy and Leah did too.

When the day ended, the two women embraced in a hug and said their goodbyes. Leah then went to say goodbye to Alessa and Eros and gave Alexandro time to speak with his mother alone.

"I like her, Alexandro." She smiled up at him.

Alexandro exhaled in relief. "I'm so glad to hear that, I thought for a second that you wouldn't as you've always told me to find a nice Greek girl."

"Well... she is nice." She placed her hand onto his cheek. "I only want you to be happy, Alexandro. To find someone you love and you have. That's the only thing I truly care about." Alexandro smiled when his mother did and then they hugged. "It might have been easier if she was Greek and I didn't have to speak English. You know how bad I am." She laughed and Alexandro joined. Yes, he did know. "But as I said, I only care about your happiness."
