Chapter 5: The Former Gang
The Year 2041
Ellie POV
I don't know why I thought back to that day it just makes it all more painful. We walked inside the church and sat down in the front row. Penny was outside on the phone with my parent's former gang, apparently they wouldn't arrive until the burial. Of course. They never really came around anymore. It saddened me whenever I heard stories about how close they used to be and now not at all.
Penny came in and sat down next to me.
"Don't worry sweetie I know my parents they'll come and so will Uncle Marshall and Aunt Lily." She was trying to make me feel better but it wasn't working, how could it?
All I could think about was the day I got that phone call. The phone call that changed everything...
