Chapter Four

"Harder! Push yourself to the limit!" I yelled at Dallas.

He huffed and swung his fist at my face. I easily dodged him and watched his eyes turn black. Good.

Sometime in the past two weeks that we've been at the cabin, Dallas shifted. None of us expected it since he is still young and hasn't hit puberty but when Aaron started screaming for me to help, I knew he was shifting.

We stayed with him the next two hours until he was fully shifted. It was so painful and I could feel it all because of that stupid curse.

At first, Dallas' wolf was very weary of us but my wolf got through to him and we could calm him down enough to let Dallas have control and shift back.

So these past few days I've been helping him train in both human and werewolf form. It's good for both him and his wolf because he shifted premature. With most wolves that shift premature, they have a temper. It's even worse with Dallas since he is born to be an alpha.

Dallas' wolf, Sam took control and swung his hands down and pulled my legs out from under me. I fell to the ground and he jumped on me, kneeing me in the stomach and pinning my arms down.

I looked at my watch and saw the time. It only took him five minutes and twenty eight seconds to pin me down.

"Good job Dallas and Sam!" I cheered. His eyes flashed from black to hazel then black again.

"Thank you." Sam said in a much deeper voice before giving control back to Dallas.

Dallas smiled shyly at me before getting off of me. I got up after him and high fived him.

"You done great. Most newbies take a long time to pin someone in about five minutes. Having a good relationship with you wolf will help too so Sam is your new best friend." I said as we walked over to Caleb, Brianna and Aaron playing tag.

Dallas ran and joined them. I grinned and sat down watching them. I would love to stay here. The cabin is so beautiful and there is no one around here. It's completely safe for the kids and I doubt we would run out of food for a while.

I'm very cautious of getting caught though so I'm making us leave in two weeks. That would be a month here. I'm sure we'll find our way back here sometime.

"You're it!" Yells Caleb as he tagged me. I grinned and jumped up, running after the kids.

"Rawr! I'm gonna getcha!" I exclaimed. The kids all screamed playfully and started running away from me. I ran and jumped over them, stopping right in front of Brianna. She screamed in shock and I pulled her into my arms. "You're it, honey." I put her down on the ground softly and started jogging away with the other kids.

We played tag for another hour before the kids got tired. We were all lying down on the ground, Dallas, Aaron, Brianna, Caleb and I. Looking at the clouds, the kids were saying what each cloud looks like.

"That one looks like a tiger!"

"Well I think it looks like a mountain!"

"No! It's a meatball!"

"It just looks like a cloud to me."

Crack! I whipped my head around toward the woods, tuning out the kids. Lifting my nose in the air, I took a big whiff and could smell four wolves. They all smelled powerful and like they were from a pack.
