~A few weeks later when Kai has got her furniture in from Tokyo and settled into her apartment.~ (Kai's apartment literally looks exactly like Dan and Phil's old one btw)
~Kai's POV~
I sat in the window sill, reading my book and drinking my coffee looking outside. Suddenly a small brown fluffy cat emerges from the small balcony with the small house plants and cacti. I held my hand out for the cat, it had green eyes, and white snowy feet with a blue collar that said 'Barnaby Jones' on it. I held out my hand to my cat. He sniffed it and then nuzzled it with his fluffy head.
I started patting him softly, the sunlight coming down from the sky and filtering through the trees. I took another sip of my coffee and watched as the wind swayed the trees in a rhythmic motion. My phone vibrated. I picked it up to see that it was a text from Kat.
SoftPaws: Oi Kai wanna go somewhere today?
I looked at it and adjusted my glasses.
Puss In Boots: Yeah. Where tho?
SoftPaws: idk meet me outside my apartment, we'll go somewhere. Bring your oyster card tho just in case we go on the tube.
Puss in Boots: mkay see ya soon. 1?
SoftPaws: 1:30.
I nodded at that time and turned my phone off. I then headed to my room to get changed.
I looked at myself in the mirror. I had a white Rolling Stones T-shirt on with an old demon jacket that had patches with different bands and quotes on them. I had the same black jeans on and red converse. I decided not to put my contacts in today. I kept my glasses on and kept my hair down.
I walked out of my room to my lounge room to grab my bag and my phone as I walked out of the apartment and locked the door. I walked out and across the hall to Kat's apartment to see Kat walking out of her apartment. "Hey Kai." She says to me. I smile and wave. "Should we go?" I ask. "Um. Duh. Yeah." She says and laughs. We walk down the stairs and out to the street.
We walk down the street to see a sign that says "Farmers market! Up ahead! Fresh fruit! Bread! Coffee!" I look at it and look at Kat. "Yeah I haven't had a coffee today." Kat says. "Well wanna go?" I ask her. "Of course I do." Kat says and we follow the signs until we get there. Its a Carpark filled with people and stalls. I go straight to the stall with roses in pots and look at a white rose fading into pink. "Hey Kai wait up!" I hear Kat from behind me, her Arabic accent gives it away easily. "Hey." She says out of breath as she finally reaches me. "Your not buying another houseplant." She says, Strongly. "Too late. Bought it." "Kaaaaiii!" "Kaaaattt!!" I say. She laughs and gives in. "Fine. ONE rose bush." I smile and laugh. I pay for it and we continue walking.

~Kat's POV~
We walk out of the market and look around. My eyes widen as I see my favorite café. "Hey Puss. Looks like were in the right side of town." I say as we run over to the café. We walk in and order some hot chocolates and food. "Hey what about we get a table outside?" Kai asks me. I look at her. We both nerdily fix our glasses and nod. We walk outside and sit at a table. "Tell me." Kai says looking at me, concern lining her eyes. "You know..." I say. "Kat. We've been best friends - practically sisters for 15 years. I know what's up." She says. I look at her and roll up my sleeve revealing a small array of cuts up my arm. "Kat... Why did you do it again?" Kai asks, her eyes softening into sadness. She carefully takes my arm and examines it. "These are fresh. Does Liam know?" She asks, looking up. I shake my head. "Kat. Liam is your fiancé, he should know about this." She says. "But if he knows, he'll tease me and then I'll want to cry. I don't want to cry in front of anyone!" I say, holding back tears.
~Kai's POV~
I look back up at Kat's face. "He won't tease you. You mean the world to him and if anyone lays so little as a finger on you, they'll regret it. You know I'm always here for you." I say. I've always been overprotective of Kat. She seems this strong, confident woman who isn't scared of anything on the outside, when really on the inside she's this sad, lonely person who just wants approval from others. I roll her sleeve down. "Whadd'ya say when we get our food we ditch this joint and head to my place, huh?" I say, cheering her up a bit. "Of course." She says, smiling.
We end up getting our food and taking the tube home.

"Pastaaa! Kai's got the pasta in the bowl!" Kat says as I walk into my lounge room. Kat ended up wanting to stay the night. Of course I said yes. I set the bowls down on the coffee table and turn the TV on. "You ever mixed chocolate with pasta?" I ask Kat. She shakes her head. "I'm offended." I say as I run to the kitchen to get a pack of chocolate. I walk back in with the chocolate and set it on the coffee table. "I dare you to do it " I say. "I hate you." Kat says as she grabs half the pack and scrunches it in with the pasta. Her face scrunches up as she puts the fork of spaghetti up to her mouth. She eats it and swallows. "That's.... Actually pretty good, Kai!" She says as she eats the rest like a child who hasn't eaten in days.

~Kat's POV~
I wake up in the morning to find that I'm in Kai's spare room in her apartment. I check the time on my phone to see that its 5 am. Too early. I hear clanging pots and pans, and the kettle steaming up. My curiosity takes over and I reach over to my glasses and get up.
I walk into the kitchen to see Kai making cereal and coffee. "Oh hey, your up!" She says as I walk into the kitchen, my brown curly hair frizzing around. "The fuck? Its 5 am Kai!" I say as she gives me a smirk. "I woke up at 3." She smiles. I give her an annoyed look and make some toast.

~Kai's POV~Kat left my apartment and I'm left doing the thing I did yesterday morning, watching the sunrise. I finish reading my book and set it down. I take a sip of my coffee as I stare at the sun rising over the top of the busy city known as London. Its more quiet and nicer than the loud busy streets of Tokyo. I like it. Reminds me of childhood. I snap out of my thoughts to remember that yesterday I bought that rose bush! I get up and run to the table to see it sitting in its pot. I put it outside on the balcony with the other array of plants. I smile as I put it down and walk into the kitchen and get a cup. I fill it up and go outside to water all the plants. I smile as I look at my plants in approval when I'm finished. I hear a small meow from inside to see that Barney was scratching the floorboards. "Barney!" I yell. I pick my cat up and ruffle his fur. "Thats bad." I say as I put him down again. I walked into the kitchen and got out a can of food. I opened it a poured a spoonful out of the mush into his bowl. Barney rubs up against my leg and then eats his food.
