-Third person POV-

It was a lovely day. The sun was shining bright, the birds were happily singing and chirping in the vast blue sky. Everything and everyone seem to be happy, living their life as it is. But.... there's one slight problem....

The members of The Boys Detective Club were in a stand still. Standing side by side, glancing at each other, not knowing what to say or maybe, how to put it to words.

Hanasaki stared back and forth from Inoue to Noro. Precisely, Noro's owl. She had stated that the problem isn't big enough to make her leave her house but she was mistaken.

Finally, the rational black haired male spoke up, breaking the silent tense air. "Hanasaki...." He said with a soft, disapproving sigh.

"Y-yeah?" Hanasaki stuttered. He knew that Inoue was about to say something radical.

"Whose kid did you kidnap this time?" He asked, looking at Hanasaki before shifting his attention to the boy standing next to Hanasaki.

The brown haired male shook his head furiously."I didn't kidnap him! This is Kobayashi!" He exclaimed.

"I'm pretty sure Kobayashi was bigger when we last saw him..." Noro chimed in and her owl hooted loudly like it was agreeing with Noro.

"I am hundred percent sure, this is Kobayashi! You can ask him yourself!" Hanasaki said in reply.

Inoue crouched down to meet the boy's eyes. In a soft tone, he asked, "what's your name?"

The boy stared intensely at Inoue and instinctively reached for Hanasaki's hand. The brown haired male gave the boy a reassuring pat on the head. "Don't worry, he's not a bad person." He said softly.

The boy shifted his attention back to Inoue. "Kobayashi Yoshio..." He answered softly.

Inoue nodded and stood up. "Well.... I guess Hanasaki was telling us the truth..." He sighed.

"Hanasaki, Kobayashi can't remember us?" Noro asked, sounding a little worried.

Hanasaki's expression darkened. "He can't seem to remember me either. I've tried countless of ways to jog his memories but nothing seem to work. You guys were my last resort."

"When did this happen?" Noro asked.

"This morning. I woke up and saw him next to me.... He can't seem to remember me so as soon as I woke up, he took off running to the living room and hid behind the sofa. It took me half an hour to convince him I'm not a bad guy and he's safe around me."

"You know Hanasaki.... I don't want to scare you but don't you think, at this rate he might become a baby? I mean,  last time when we saw him, he was an elementary student, then now, he's a toddler. What about next month? Or the month after? If we don't find a way to stop this, he might just turn into a baby...." Inoue said, his voice growing softer and softer by the minute.

Hanasaki nodded weakly. "I know. I just don't know how to stop it. I really want my Kobayashi back.... Having him as a lover and a brother is two different things."

"I'll look into this case and I'll get back to you if I find anything.... But, for now, just take care of him. If Kobayashi can't remember anything, then it'll be dangerous to leave him alone....he might wonder off with a stranger...." Said Noro.

"Noro's right. Last time, those bastards kidnapped him to get his powers.... It's most likely that they're not going to stop. If they know Kobayashi can't remember anything, they might kidnap him again." Agreed the black haired male.

Hanasaki nodded and took Kobayashi's hand in his. "I'll take care of him. I won't take my eyes off him. I just hope that you guys would be able to find a solution to this problem. To be honest, I'm starting to miss my Kobayashi."

"Don't worry Hanasaki. We'll definitely find a solution. So, why don't you and little Kobayashi go home? You should get some rest. You looked so miserable." Said the female.

"Thanks. I'll take my leave now..."

-Hanasaki Kensuke's POV-

"Do you want to eat anything?" I asked Kobayashi as I set him down gently on the sofa.

"Pudding!" He instantly reply. His red eyes shone brightly as he showed me his biggest smile. How innocent is a child's smile.... It's so hard not to get lost in it...

Just then, Kobayashi placed his small hand on my cheek. "Hanashaki?" He asked, tilting his head a little.

I smiled and touched his hand. "Don't worry. I'm okay." I forced a smile. What am I doing? I'm making a small kid like him worry.... I shouldn't do that. I need to act maturely.

"You want pudding right? Let's go get you your pudding." I said, changing the subject. I held out my hand to Kobayashi, who took it. Then, I brought him to the kitchen and set him down on the chair.

"Are you okay with Caramel pudding?" I asked, holding up the pudding in front of Kobayashi.

Kobayashi nodded happily when he saw the pudding. Kids are so simple. If it was teenager Kobayashi, he would probably be like,"are you an idiot? You know I don't like that flavour."

"Here, I'll feed you." I said, grabbing a spoon from the kitchen drawer.

Kobayashi giggled and clapped his small hands together as a sign of approval everytime I fed him the creamy caramel pudding.

"You really like this flavour huh....the older version of you doesn't really like this flavour. He said it's too sweet.... I wonder if you'll be like that once you're grown up... " I sighed softly.

"You're so innocent and cute.....and, you'll always be even when you're all grown up. A little tsundere but, I love that part of you...."

A confused expression crossed Kobayashi's face as he stared at me with his big red eyes. "Shorry Hanashaki...." He said, trying his hardest to properly prounouce the words.

"Why are you apologising?"

"Becaushe, Hanashaki's Kobayashi misshing....and, Hanashaki wuves that Kobayashi...."  (I'll write the translation at the bottom of the story later if you guys don't know what he's talking about)

"He's not missing.... He's somewhere. He just won't come out yet." I said in reply.

"Will he come out?" Little Kobayashi asked.

"I don't know when but I do know that he will come out...."

He has to come out.....
