Chapter 6

Running, running, running, that's all I can think about right now. Getting home, away, away from today and what happened. I run all the way home.

I walk to school the next mourning wishing with all my soul I didn't have to. I don't want to face Brian. Here his questions. All I want is for him to promise never to leave my side again.

I take a deep breath and walk in the door. I feel a tap on my shoulder and I know who it is. Brian. So I keep walking faster away from him and he grabs my arm and pulls me back right into his grasp. He drags me out the doors and down the school path. Into the woods and under a tree.

"I'm sorry" he said " I shouldn't have left you there all alone with those jerks, I hope you know that from now on I will always be on your side, and make sure that doesn't happen again. "

I didn't say anything I just looked up and hugged him and buried my face in his cologne scented t-shirt and he put his arms around me and we embraced for what seemed like forever. Just then the bell rang and we hurried back to school hand in hand away from that special spot, well now that spot is special.

For the next 2 months we were always together and we got to know each other really Well. I told him every thing and he told me every thing, we had no secretes. I learned his parents hate him to and that he loves reading just as much as I do and that he has a secrete love for animals. I told him my story and he told me his, and we were in perfect harmony.
