Thirty Nine

A few days has passed by since Jungkook's ex girlfriend suddenly showed up at their front door, and after those days there has been an awkward silence lingering around Jungkook and Lisa

While Jungkook tried everything to get Lisa's attention, Lisa always tried to avoid him. The feelings she was feeling was so odd, excited yet afraid

Lisa has never been in a serious relationship, she always had flings here and there but that was all. She didn't know how real relationships worked, what if Jungkook has high expectations and gets disappointed when he learns that she has no experience in love

Her feelings for Jungkook was so strong that it terrified her, never in a million years has she felt like this towards someone

Lisa stared up at the ceiling and sighed heavily, she turned her body to the side and stared at her roommate

"Jisoo, what am I supposed to do?" She whispered, not expecting an answer back from her older friend Lisa slowly closed her eyes from sleepiness

"What's wrong?" Lisa suddenly hear a voice say, her eyes darted open as she turned her head to see Jennie standing at the door with a glass of water in her hands

"What are you doing here?" Lisa whispered, Jennie lifted up her cup as an answer

"I was thirsty, wanna talk?" Jennie asked, Lisa nodded and carefully got out of bed making sure to not wake up Jisoo and closed the bedroom door behind her. Jennie and Lisa walked down the stairs and to their living room which was now all fixed, they plopped down on the couch and they both exhaled while staring out of the big window right in front of them. The moonlight being their only source of light, Jennie took a few sips form her glass of water while Lisa grabbed a pillow and hugged it

"Spill" Jennie spoke, Lisa sighed tiredly and stared up at the sky filled with beautiful shining stars

"I feel conflicted" Lisa started, Jennie nodded waiting for her best friend to tell her everything

"I don't know what to do, I want to run away but at the same time I want to stay near him" Lisa continued, Jennie nodded. Not completely understanding but still wanted to listen to her friend vent about it

"It's not like I can ask you for advice, you haven't had any romance experience" Lisa joked, Jennie almost choking on her drink

"W-Well, it's just haven't been my first priority in life" Jennie tried to defend herself, Lisa smiled at her

"What about now? Now that everything has calmed down, do you find someone interesting?" Lisa asked, Jennie stared down at her cup with her cheeks burning, she was happy it was dark right now or Lisa would have teased her for blushing

"Stop talking about me and let us focus on you, which side do you feel strongest toward Jungkook? The side where you want to run away or the side where you want to stay close to him?" Jennie asked her, Lisa stared at her Jennie unsure. She chewed on the though for a good moment before a shy smile spread across her face, Jennie noticed and carefully nudged her friend to tease her just a bit. Lisa frowned and turned her head away from Jennie and pouted

"You love him" Jennie said and started to make fake kissing noises, Lisa embarrassingly shoved the pillow she was hugging onto Jennie's face to shut her up. Jennie grabbed on the pillow and threw it to the other side of the couch

"Loving him is a bit of an exaggerate" Lisa mumbled shyly, Jennie grinned happily for her friend

"I know I don't have any experience in love, but I do know something about chasing after the things you want. Listen Lisa, if you like him and he likes you. I would tell you to go after him, you never know when you will lose the opportunity. And if you're afraid that is totally fine, just tell him what you feel and I think that he will understand. I will cheer for you" Jennie tried to encourage her youngest friend, Jennie placed a hand on Lisa's shoulder and stands up from the couch
