Fallen Angel

My heart was pounding trying to get out of my rib cage. My sight was blurry and messed up. My hair was flying all over my face. I didn’t like this feeling of dread. Like death’s cold grip on my soul. I was lost. I had no idea what was coming. It was a mystery to me. I heard voices surrounding me speaking some language. What was weird was that I understood it perfectly and I knew it was the old ancient language of the angels. I felt an energy so strong coming to me. I couldn’t believe what was happening. I would never forget my mother, father, or my sister.

They were normal people but it always seemed I was the odd one. Now I know it was true all along. How can I know and sense these things that don’t even make sense? Was my life coming to an end? I needed to know what is happening. My thoughts were getting confusing and I was becoming drowsy. It’s as if I was drugged. A dark gloomy light creeped to where I am. A shadow walked towards me. Is this it? My death is near isn’t it? Then before anything it seemed like the light disappeared quickly. The person still came towards me.

I saw shadows of wings? No. That isn’t right because those shadows seemed like they weren’t there. I saw a man. He has dark hair that matched the night’s blackness. He got nearer. His eyes were black smoky holes. They had stars in them. His lips were full and his face had a man-boyish look. His cheekbone structure was like the magazines, he has a straight nose, lashes to die for, and muscles that melted any girl. All I could think about was beating him with my fists. He wasn’t human. He looks too gorgeous. He had this glint in his eyes that warned you not to mess with him. His face was right in front of mine. He smirked and breathed on me. His breath smelled like a fresh meadow. Suddenly I was knocked out.

I woke up to birds chirping. What the hell happened last night? I remembered everything. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I remembered the guy. How did I end up in this place? Oh yeah. I was taking a walk. I wasn’t in the park now though. I was at a forest? The place looked bright and sunny with birds chirping and flowers blooming. The sun’s rays streamed down on the warm lush grass. I heard footsteps and a person coming out from the trees. It is him. The gorgeous guy. His lips pulled into a sarcastic smile.

“Who are you?” I said my voice a bit husky.

“I’m a guy”, he replied looking like he was bored.

His voice was deep, rich almost like melted chocolate.

“Seriously, who are you? Where am I?” I said with a clearer voice.

“I don’t feel like telling you and you’re somewhere where no one will find you”, he answered.

“What are you going to do to me?” I said nervous thinking about it.

“Whatever you desire”, he said winking at me.

“Ugh. Just tell me who you are at least. I know you’re not human”, I said.

He turned serious. He means business.

“My name is Kokabiel. How do you know if I am not a human?” he said.

“It’s obvious. I saw you come. The way you came here wasn’t like a normal human would come”, I said.

“What are you going to do about it?” Kokabiel said.

“Nothing. Are you an angel?” I said.

“How did you know?” he said.

“The voices spoke the language of the angels”, I said as if wasn’t a big deal.

For a moment I saw something flicker through his eyes.

“You’re not supposed to know that language. You shouldn’t be able to even hear it. Who are you? Are you human?” Kokabiel said.

“I’m Farah. I am human. What do you mean I shouldn’t be able to hear it? I heard it with my own ears and surprisingly I understood what they were saying”, I said.

He looked skeptical and unsure. His snarky attitude was gone for the moment.

“Forget what I said”, he said.

“You can’t expect me to do that”, I argued.

“Yeah I can and I will”, Kokabiel smirked.

What an asshole.  I rolled my eyes at him. What’s going to happen now? I certainly don’t want to stay here especially with him.

“Are you going to keep me here?” I asked.

“Yes. You shouldn’t have seen what had happened. I guess now you’re stuck with me”, he said grinning.

“Ugh. Let me leave. I don’t want to be stuck with you”, I complained.

“No can do. Anyways you think I want to be with you, I’d rather be crucified”, he said.
