CHAPTER 18

When I headed to the room, both of them were fast asleep. So, I also didn’t eat and went to sleep. The main reason was because I didn’t have an appetite. So, I went to bed straight away, but guess what I couldn’t sleep at all. So, I just kept on thinking and making a plan to get Sophia to safety.

Sam's grandmom in Sidney, I could send Sophia with her. There was a flight leaving to Sydney tomorrow at 10 am. So, it was easy. Just take them to the airport and send them off. Then it will be done. After they are there I could ask Sam to add her in a high school there, education is very important. I can somehow send her money for the living.

After Sophia is in safety, I have to worry about what im gonne do. I guess I will think about it later after this. Although I try hard to not think about Blake, my brain just happens to not get the memo of me not wanting to think about him. Stupid brain! So, I had my entire rest time with him invading my thoughts.

I was up before the sunlight. I didn’t know what time it was so, I left the room to find a clock. I headed to the reception. On my way I heard some men talking, so I slowed down and hide behind the wall and tried to hear their conversation.
“Did you see the girl from this photo? She is with a kid about 14 or 15. The girl must be in her early 20’s.”
The old women who was in the reception took the pic and had a closer look at it. Then the lady looked up at the man and then her eyes stopped at me, she gave me this look of a warning. I got the memo and slowly waited to see what she was gonne do. I was worried that she would tell us out. There were about 5 to 6 men, 4 of them were armed. I tried to look at their faces and identify anyone. But I was sure about one thing, that that they were no Blake’s men. So, there is only one other person who is in search of us. JASPER!!
“Wait a minute gentlemen, I’ll get my glasses. Old age makes you vision poor.” She laughed and went in search of her glass. She was helping me.
I backed out and ran. I ran fast and opened the door.
“Sam! Sam! Sophia! Sophia!!!! Wake up! Fast!” I screamed at them to wake up. I pushed and shook them to wake them up.
“What?! What? What happened?” Sam panicked
“We are in trouble! Some men have found us.” I explained her, “now fast move your butts.”
“Hannah are we in danger? Is it Blake?” Sophia asked me.
“Sophia, look we have to hurry. They might find us if we don’t move. Don’t worry, I will never let anything happen to you. Okay?” She nodded her head at me.

I pulled Sophia and ran towards the back entrance, then we got into the car. Sam took the driving seat and Sophia sat in the back. So, that left me to sit next to Sam. But before I got in I said Sam to start the car and wait for me.
Then I slowly got to the front, I saw 2 vans parked at the entrance. I pull the knife that I shoved into my boots. I slowly creped behind the vans and stabbed the back wheel and the front wheel of one side of both the cars.
Stupid men, they didn’t even have anyone guard the car. With a smile, I ran back to the car. Just as I sat on the car, I heard men coming out of the place.

“Sam move now.” I ordered her.
From the sound of our car roaring the men looked our way. I pulled my hand up, opened the window and showed them the finger and stuck my tongue out at them. They got on to their van and started it, but they couldn’t ride it. I laughed at them on the same time they cursed at me. Even Sam laughed with me. With a happy smile we roared to our freedom.

“Where are we heading Hannah?” Sam asked me.
“Head to the nearest airport, and Sam I asked you a favor right? Will you still be doing it for me?” Iasked her.
“What are you asking that for? Of course I will do it for you.” Sam replied.
“I want you to take Sophia and go to Sydney, to your grandmom’s place. Will you do that for me?” I asked her.
“Yes, but why?” she asked me.
“I want you to take Sophia there, put her to a school there and don’t contact me unless I contact you. I will send you the needed money somehow.” I said her.
“What no, no. I don’t need money. I have enough.”
“No, Sam. You have done enough for me now. If I make you do that I will be the worst friend alive.”
“Wow, look at you. All high and mighty. Okay. Okay. Do whatever you want. I’ll keep her safe.”
I smiled at here and signed.
“What? Aren’t you going to tell me or ask if I even agree?” Sophia screamed from back.
“This is not for argument Sophia. I don’t want you involved in this mess.”
“For your information I’m not agreeing for this at all. I don’t want to go away from you. I have never been away from you Hannah. Please don’t send me away. Please.” She started crying.
I turned to face her. “Baby, I know it is tough right now. But please try to understand. I can’t let you stay here. This place is dangerous now.”
“Then isn’t it dangerous to you? Hannah, you are also in danger. Please don’t leave me. I don’t want you to get hurt. Please Hannah, I’m begging you, please come with us.” She kept on crying.

“Baby, please listen to me. I have something to find by myself in here. I can’t let you be in danger. Sweetie please listen to me. Please, go with Sam. Stay safe. I know it is hard. It is hard for me too. I have never stayed away from you. This is going to be hard for both of us. But we have to do this. I really need to find something about myself in here. Will you please do as I ask baby?” I asked her.

“Okay Hannah. I will do as you say. But please call me every day. Okay?”
All along the ride I was thinking of a couple of things. But all my thoughts end up with Blake. Somehow he is there. I must have felt something really strong for him. So, I just slept instead of thinking.

An hour later, Sam shook me awake.
“We are in the airport. Hannah, are sure about this?” Sam asked me hoping I would change my mind.
I just hugged her really tight, “thank you for doing this Sam.” She just hugged me tight instead of using words. Then she pulled away. I turned to Sophia.

“Hey, Sophi,” I called her. She just crashed into me with a heart crushing hug. I was on the verge of tears, but I held back.

“Everything is going to be okay, I will make everything okay for you Sophia. Just please be safe and concentrate on your school.” I said her.

“Concentrating is going to be hard. You too be safe okay?” Sophia cried.
After a heart swelling episode, Sam and Sophia went away.

Now is the time I had to decide on what I have to do. I have a million ideas but none of them seems to be appropriate for this moment.
So I just followed my heart. I got on the car and drove, my heart drew a map I was just numbly following. Hours of driving, finally I reached my destination.

I horned loud enough for the whole street to hear. Then the doors opened and there stood that one person who could help me solve my problems.
