INT. GROUND FLOOR OF THE CONTROL TOWER

The General and Madame Dupont entered the building and greeted everyone. They cross the hallway and enter the elevator.

INT. 43rd Floor
The elevator stops on the 43rd floor, the highest of the entire building. The doors are opening. The general and Madame Dupont crossed an empty and dark corridor. They reach Professor Schlingler's office, letting them finally glimpse the light.

INT. PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER' S OFFICE

The General and Madame Dupont come in.

PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER
Madame Dupont! I'm honored to finally make your acquaintance. You wouldn't believe how happy I am that the dome is home to a beautiful and talented woman like you.

Madame Dupont is speechless in the face of so much flattery.

MADAME DUPONT
(intimidated)
Thank you, Professor... It is also a great privilege for me.

Schlingler looks furiously at the general.

PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER
You may leave now, General. Madame Dupont's safe now. We don't need you anymore.

The general tries to hide his anger and humiliation and leaves without saying a word. Professor Schlingler resumes the conversation with Madame Dupont, as if nothing had happened.

PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER
We don't need him anymore. The dome is after all the safest place in the world. Don't you agree?

MADAME DUPONT
(embarrassed)
That's why we came here...

PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER
Speaking of which, how's your son?

MADAME DUPONT
He's all right. It takes time to adjust.

PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER
He's going to go back to school, right?

MADAME DUPONT
Exactly. Exactly.

PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER
My son also makes his debut in high school. I'm sure our children will get along perfectly. I hope that like us, they will accomplish great things.

Schlingler is heading towards the door through which Madame Dupont entered.

PROFESSOR SCHLINGLER
Please come with me, please. Now that the general's gone, we'll finally be safe.
