~About 1902~
"Celestia, I want to go too."
"No Bellissa. You're just going to mess us up."
"I promise I will stay out of you and Luna's way just let me go, please." Bellissa begged.
Celestia just shook her head and left with Luna. Bellissa's ears went down in disappointment. Why can't I go out of the castle with them? What are they even doing to which I would mess them up? She thought. Bellissa went to her room.
"They leave me out of everything. Shoo me away like I'm some pest. I'm there sister too." She rants to herself. Her tail curls around her body as she starts crying lightly.

"Mom why did you have to leave? You were my only friend

"Mom why did you have to leave? You were my only friend. I need you."
A knock is heard at her door. She didn't answer. The door opened to reveal her father.
"Hey, Liss, what is it?" He asks.
    "Nothing."
"Obviously it is something you're crying. You wanna talk about it?"
"No, but can I go for a walk in Canterlot?" She asks.
He smiles. "Sure, Liss. Be sure to back before it gets dark though okay?"
    "I will, thanks. Bye."

Bellissa puts on a cape to hide the fact that she's an Alicorn (doesn't want attention) and goes to the park. She sits on a bench far away from any people. She sighs sadly.
"H-hey, what's wrong?" A young colt about her age asks.
   "O-oh. It's n-nothing."
"It's o-okay. You can tell me."
"Well... My sisters are just really rude to me and like to treat me as if I'm a bother and useless."
"D-do ya feel a l-little better now that you let it out?" He asks.
"Yeah. Thank you. For listening." She pauses for a second. "I'm B-Bellissa. What's your name?"
"Sombra. I-its nice to meet you."
    "Likewise." Bellissa smiles.
"So, Bellissa, why are you wearing a cape?" Sombra questions.
    "O-oh! I-it's to hide my w-wings."
"Wings? Wait, so you're an a-alicorn?!" He questions surprised.
"Y-yeah. I'm P-princess Bellissa. I wouldn't expect you to know me because I'm the least popular of my family."
"No I know who you are. Y-you're my f-favourite of the p-princesses." Sombra says quietly.
    Bellissa smiles and blushes.
"Oh! It's starting to get dark. I better get home."
    "Can I see you again?"
"Of course! I'll see you as soon as I am able. Goodbye, Sombra."
    "Goodbye, Lissa."
Bellissa blushes more than flies back towards the castle.

Bellissa walks in with a huge smile on her face.
"Welcome back Princess. What's got you so happy." Bellissa's favourite guard, Sword Dancer, asked.
"I made a friend today! At least I think I did."
"That's great! Just don't you two be getting into any trouble."
"We won't Sword Dancer." Bellissa giggles.

The next day Bellissa goes back to the place where Sombra and her met the day before. She didn't see him there, so she sat on the bench and read a book while she waited.
"Hey, are you reading a book on crystals?" A voice says from over her shoulder.
"Yeah they fascinate me. I also think they're very pretty." She answers.
    "Yeah, they are quite beautiful."
"I'd love to live in a crystal castle when I get older. Wouldn't you?" She looks over at Sombra.
"Most definitely. You know what. When I get older I'll get a crystal castle just for us." He tells her.
    "Really?"
    "I'll make sure of it."
Bellissa smiles, pink making it's way onto her cheeks.
"Hey, Bellissa, who are you talking to?" Someone asks a little loudly from behind them.
They look over to see Celestia and Luna.
"Celestia. Luna. This is Sombra. He's my friend" She introduces.
"That's your friend. You're never gonna be popular if you hang out with that thing."
"He. And you can say all you want. He is going to get me my own castle made entirely out of crystal. It will be amazing!"
"Ha! You're hilarious! He is gonna get you a castle made out of crystal. Yeah, that isn't happening in million years."
"It will! Sombra will make sure of it!"
"Whatever you say." Celestia says. "Come on, Luna, let's go."
Luna looks at Bellissa sympathetically then leaves with Celestia.
"She doesn't understand, Sombra. I think- no I know you will be able to do it." Bellissa then hugs Sombra.
He blushes deeply and hugs back.

~6 years later~

They both met at that bench almost everyday for 6 years. On Bellissa's 16th birthday Sombra decided to finally ask her out, but she never came to the bench. He just suspected that she was spending her birthday with her family as one does, but he still wanted to at least say happy birthday and give her a present. Sombra went to the castle and snuck into her room without the guards noticing. She was sitting and staring out of her window.
"Happy Birthday, Lissa!" He lightly shouts as he hugs her from behind.
Bellissa squeaks, but then giggles. "Thank you, Sombra."
"I got you something." Sombra says then hands her a small box.
She opens it to find a heart shaped necklace with their names on the back.
    "It's beautiful!" She says excitedly.
"I knew you'd like it. Also I have a question."
    "What is it Sombra?"
"W-will you be my significant other?" He asks.
Bellissa blushes and giggles. "Of course I will silly."
Then it got quiet. They slowly leaned in. Right before there lips touched the door opened and there stood her father.
    "Bellissa!" He yelled.
    "Dad! I-I-"
"We were just talking about this! You are not allowed to be with this colt! We have a prince who will take your hoof in marriage."
"B-but Dad I don't want to marry whoever they are! I love Sombra!" She shouts.
"Guards! Take him away from Canterlot. He will not be able to go anywhere near my daughter." He demands.
They do as he says even though they didn't think it was right. Bellissa broke out in tears. The guards and her father left her alone. Luna then walked in.
    "Bell. I'm sorry." Luna apologizes.
    "For what?"
"For ignoring you. I just wanted to be liked by Celestia. The truth is... I'm not beloved either. They just like Celestia because she brings up the sun."
"At least you have a job though. You have importance. What do I even do. I still don't understand how I got my cutie mark."
"You show everyone live even if others think they don't deserve it. I feel like that is more important than us moving the sun and moon up and down."
"Are you taking about when I said those lines during that 'speech'?"

~Flashback 9 years ago~

    "I can't do this mother."
"You're going to do fine. Take deep breaths." Her mother reassures her.
She inhales deeply then walks onto the platform.
"Ladies and gentlecolts. I'm not really prepared for this, bit what can you expect from a seven year old. I just want to tell you that I love you all and I think everyone deserves to be loved."
She then bows and suddenly a beam of blue light shoots out of Bellissa's horn and make little sparkles float everywhere. When everything went back to normal there in her flank was a cutie make of a heart that had a sparkle on the left side. She just stood there surprised as was everyone else. Everyone clapped.

~Present~

"But I don't know how I did that. It was an accident." Bellissa says.
"You make ponies feel loved. That's a wonderful talent. In my opinion you are the best."
    "Thank you Luna." Bellissa thanks.
Luna nods then leaves the room.
"Luna said my job was to make ponies feel loved. Now I must do my job. I will be with Sombra."
