chapter summary ; stan and richie try to help bill. the losers host a party.
...
it was just about three weeks since the beach trip. richie and stan still would not speak of what happened on the beach - everytime someone brought it up, stan shook his head, said "nope" and left - but everybody had forgotten about that now.
it was nearing ben's birthday, and the losers were planning a party.
of course, stanley was in charge of the "party planning committee."
nobody else wanted to be in the committee, but bev was somehow dragged into it.
"okay so i'm thinking blue streamers. and maybe some of those party hats? yeah, definitely the party hats!"
bev shrugged. she didn't really care. she cared about ben, of course she did, but she just really didn't want to listen to stan ramble on about what color party hats they will have or what material the streamers should be.
"bev! mike needs you across the hall."
a voice suddenly came into the apartment, waking bev up, and stan turned his head in slight anger of being disrupted. bill and richie were standing at the door.
bev happily got up and went across the hall.
richie shut the door. bill sat down on the couch, causing some confusion for stan, and richie followed mere seconds later.
"can i help you gays?" stan asked, organizing his folder (that was labeled "party time!")
bill rolled his eyes.
"i think we should tell him, stan. it's being eating me alive since-"
"no! we don't ever talk about that! ever, richie!"
"just tell me what happened! please?" bill pleaded, putting on his best pout.
stan sighed and nodded to richie.
"well i got stung by a jellyfish, right? and stan decides he's going to try and make me walk all the way back to the house. and i said no way, i can't walk on this! then we thought for awhile. and stan remembered something he had seen on the discovery channel."
at this moment, stan cringed, placing his head in his hands and screaming into them.
"oh yeah, i saw- ewww, you peed on yourself?!"
