...
whatever happened after that kiss was fuzzy.
all stan knew was that he ran out after awhile, and the party ended shortly. richie and the others went home, and stan went to sleep.
...
"stan. we need to talk."
"about what? what happened at the party? we were both drunk. that's it." stan shrugged, walking away from richie, and into the coffee shop.
richie sighed and walked home.
"hey stan." bill waved from his spot on the couch.
"hey." stan went up to the counter and ordered his coffee.
"what is he so pissy about?" eddie whispered to bill, who shrugged.
...
"bill, open up! it's me, richie!"
bill sighed and turned off the tv (he was watching a program on cows.)
he got up and opened the door to his apartment. to say the least, he was shocked at what richie looked like.
a complete fucking mess.
it looked like he had been crying for days. his eyes were puffy and red.
"oh my fuck, what the fuck happened to you, rich!"
bill ushered him inside his apartment and shut the door. surprisingly, richie hugged bill. bill did not push him away, because he knew his friend was upset right now.
"i'm-i think i'm-i think i'm in love with stan." he whispered the last part, his sobs would have covered it up anyway. but bill still heard.
"oh fuck. it's okay, rich. i kinda could tell already."
"is it obvious?" richie pouted.
"no, no. just for me."
"why's it different?"
"because i feel the same way about eddie." bill murmured.
"now that was obvious. to everybody. except eddie." richie smiled weakly. they were still hugging, so they let go.
