The spirit festival is here and our Heroes are unfortunately the only act of the event, but they guarantee fantastic festival all the same, and hope like crazy that hydra won't wreck it. We join our heroes as they prepare for their gig, but little do they know that someone is mentally watching them.
The people started coming and they all had to get past Jarvis, who was in charge of keeping hydra out. "Ok, everyone clear on what song they're playing lead singer in?" "Yep." Good, Casey, I'm saving the last song for you to lead sing, because this festival is all about raising hope, and this song is about not showing fear, which is the perfect way to end the festival." "Ok." "We'll all be counting on you to be the voice of hope in this last song, not to put too much pressure on you." "That makes me feel better." The announcer came on. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the spirit festival. Before we bring on the music. We would like to state that there will only be one band playing, because no other bands were available tonight, but we're guaranteeing a fabulous performance all the same. So without further ado, please welcome, for the first time in this galaxy's history, the iron rockers, who will be introducing to you, earthian music, which we hope you like." They walked out on stage. "Thank you everyone, we are super thrilled to be a part of and to have planned this entire event, again, we apologize that no other bands will be coming out, but we hope you like this year's festival so just sit back and enjoy the show. Then they launched into their first song. The crowd was already going crazy for them. Then, Casey finally cracked under the pressure and ran off. "Casey! Uh sorry folks, we're having some technical difficulties. Give us ten minutes and we'll be right back." To his teammates, he said. "Try to stall them for as long as you can, I'll go get Casey."
Jeremy ran into the palace after her, and found her in her room, crying. "Casey, what happened out there? I've never seen you show this much fear for anything." "That's because we never performed in front of this many people before. And now, because of my stage fright, I've let everyone down." "You haven't let anyone down yet, the festival is still on." "I'm not going back out there until the festival is over, my stage fright is kicking full blast." "Hey no matter what it is, whether it's stage fright or monsters, just remember that fear, is just another reason to try harder." "Thanks Jeremy, but I don't think I'm ready to face my fear yet." Jeremy suddenly had an idea. He ran to the communications center to call the only two people that could save the festival, Captain America and Black Widow, who their daughter needed right about now. "Hey Jeremy, how's the far Galaxy?" "Great, we have already moved into somewhere and are performing in a festival to raise hope in the Galaxy." "Isn't that nice, good luck." "Thanks, but we need your help, Casey has stage fright and she needs support from more of her family." "But we don't have the means to get there." "You'd be quite surprised at how much we've managed to accomplished in just three weeks, including space bridging." A portal suddenly opened up on both sides. A few minutes later, the whole avengers team came through. "We thought we'd come to support Casey too." "thanks guys, we'll need all the support we can get." They went back to Casey's room. "Casey, some people want you to perform." "I told you I don't want to conquer my fear right now." "Then maybe, two full avenger teams will persuade you?" "You got the original avengers here?" "I only tried to get mom and dad, the rest came completely by choice." "We're all right behind you Casey." "Both the iron avengers and the original avengers." "Thanks guys, Jeremy, shall we?" "I thought you'd never ask."
They got back just in time for the last song. "We're back folks, sorry about the wait, we just had some urgent business to take care of. Anyway, this last song is called fearless. It's about how you don't have to be afraid to try new things and it's a great way to finish off this year's festival, we hope you all had a great time here. Jeremy nodded to Casey, who started to sing. "I'm stuck in you head, I'm back from the dead, got you running scared I'm fearless." "That's it Casey" Jeremy thought. "Show that fear who's boss." "I'm calling you out, I'm taking you down got you running scared I'm fearless, I'm fearless!" The song cranked up into high gear, and so did Casey's confidence in herself. "You used to make my heart pound, just the thought of you, but now your in the background, whatcha gonna do?" With destiny backing her up, and two full avenger teams cheering her on, the Casey that joined the iron avengers was back full blast. The crowd was going crazier then ever. A minute later, the song ended, and so did Casey's stage fright, an hour later, they were in the hanger, celebrating the success of the festival, and Casey conquering her stage fright. "I did it, I conquered my stage fright!" "We knew you could do it." "I wouldn't have if it wasn't for you Jeremy." "Oh Casey, you know I love you like crazy." "I love you too." They went into a rather long hug. "Hey, save a piece for us." Their parents joined in, and finally they broke apart. "Well, our work here is done, call us if you need anything." "Will do, Jarvis, activate a space bridge home for them." The space bridge opened and the avengers walked through. "Come visit anytime." "You too." The portal closed and they started getting ready for bed. "I have a feeling that nothing is going to be boring while we're here." "You got that right." "Sir, you have an email from an unknown source." "Put it through." A screen lit up with a letter from a source that almost made Jeremy want to try to puke. "It's from mace windu!"
Our heroes have succeeded in hosting a festival, but soon after, they received an email from mace. What led the letter say? Stay tuned for the answer.
To be continued.
