He fell against the bed, bouncing slightly as she crawled on top of him. There was a hunger in his eyes, nervousness as well. She could hear his heart pounding hard in his chest as she placed her hands on either side of his head, bending down to kiss him. Isaac's hands went to Lexie's waist to hold her in place as their kiss deepened.

She was the first to break away, rocking herself back so she could get a better look at his flushed face, "Your dad needs to have conferences more often. Are you nervous?"

"Wouldn't you be?"

"If a hot girl was on top of me?" she tilted her head to the side with a smirk. "Been there, done that, and maybe one day it'll happen again. But right now, I'm happy just having you under me. Now wher-" the buzzing of a phone startling the both of them. Derek's name popped on the screen. She reached over to grab the phone, hitting answer as she did. "Der, I'm kinda in the middle of something right now."

"The Alpha killed someone."

"What?" she questioned.

She could just imagine him nodding, "Video store clerk. I already called Scott to meet me."

"Where?"

"Video 2C," he replied.

"I'm on my way," she sighed, hitting end.

Isaac sat up slightly. "Who was that?"

Lexie rolled her eyes, "My cousin who doesn't understand what 'I'm busy' means. Can we pick this up tomorrow? Right where we left off?"

"Right where we left off?" he questioned her.

She leaned forward, giving him a long kiss, "Right where we left off."

..............................

"Alright," Lexie held her hands to the side the best she could with them deep in her pockets. "I'm here." Derek and Scott turned around, their attention having been focused on what was going on down below.

"Lex, aren't those your friends?" Derek pointed down.

She jogged over, placing her hands on the ledge and leaning forwards. Down below, sitting in the ambulance, was Lydia and Jackson. Her eyes widened as she focused on what they were feeling. Lydia was uncharacteristically quiet, staring off into the distance while Jackson continued to yell as one of the cops. But both were frightened. "They're scared. The Alpha scared them to death."

"But they're okay?" Scott asked.

She nodded, "Seems like it. Psychically, anyway."

Lexie and Scott sat on the ledge, watching the scene unfold before them as another patrol car pulled up next to the ambulance. Derek put a foot between the two of them, looking over the edge of the roof as well.

"Paul, let's get this area locked up," the Sheriff's voice floated up to them. They all peered down, watching him approach the ambulance as he put on his gloves.

"Why the hell can't I just go home?" Jackson questioned him. "I'm fine."

"I hear ya," he sympathized. "But the EMT says you hit your head pretty hard. They just wanna make sure you don't have a concussion."

Jackson shook his head, "What part of "I'm fine" are you having a problem grasping? Okay, I wanna go home."

"And I understand that-"

"No, you don't understand," Jackson cut him off. "Which kind of blows my mind, since it should be a pretty basic concept to grasp for a minimum wage rent-a-cop like you! Okay, now, I wanna go home!"
