The mistake that followed

chapter 1

Chapter 1 : 

Thump that's the sound Arielle made when she hit  the floor as the girl Rebbecca and her friends pushes her to the ground  . Arielle wasn't to popular in high school. While  stumbled to pick up her stuff to get to her next class ;that's when John walked to her and started to help her .

"Hi "said John as Arielle's mind started to race and wonder why the most popular boy in the school was talking to her . His hair was black and glossy his brown skin with the most perfect  thing she had ever seen . He had tattoos in places they shouldn't have been. In her eyes he was gorgeous . She paused at first looked around to see if he was talking to her . He smiled at her uncertain that she knew he was talking to her so ; Once again.

"Hi  " Said John 

"Umm hi " said Arielle she felt uncomfortable as everyone in the hall stopped and starred. 

" are you okay ? You kinda fell hard ?"  He did  notice that everyone was watching but he didn't care.

" yes I'm okay may I ask why are you acting so nice to me ?" as she remembered all the other times he had laughed at her with his friends why the chance of heart now .

He thought for a moment .

"Your so nice and you let people step all over you ; you should not be so passive all the time" 

  Arielle was speechless wondering why he would even give her advice something was up but she pushed that thought to the back of her head and she let her guard  down.

  " I'll try to take your advice next time  "

"do you want to leave school?" 

Arielle thought if she should go with him . As she thought that this question has more behind it than he was giving but with out thinking she said 

" I wanna go anywhere but stay here." 

John smiled "my name is John and yours ?"

" I know your name and my name is Arielle " 

John chuckled as they walked out of the back door of there school. She got quite . 

"why do you even let Rebbecca and her friends get to you?" 

As Arielle thought of her first day transferring to B.A.S.T  . She had to take a math test the first day she got there . Rebbecca was sitting behind Arielle  when Rebbecca got caught cheating . When Arielle turned her in Rebbecca set out to make the rest of Arielle's Life in high school a living hell . Arielle did not really mean to rat Rebbecca out but the teacher saw and  if Arielle did not give a statement then she would have gotten suspended Arielle did not need to go home and tell her mom she got suspended the first day.  

" I don't really it's just that it's a Long story " 

As Arielle and John walk to his house  there was three boys and one girl. It was James ,junior ,lensley and jasmine . Arielle knew all of these kids went to her school but she didn't see them often . When she did they were either getting in trouble or in detention . Some thing about hanging out with this type of crowd. 

"What's up " said James 

"y'all ready to go ?" said junior 

" yea but why is she here?" said jasmine. As they all looked at  Arielle , she started to feel that this was a bad idea . Silence hit the group the surface was cold  as ice until John  broke it .

" she goes to school with us she's cool peoples right Arielle ? " said john

" yea I just wanted to get out of school that's all "said Arielle 

After five minutes of walking they all finally got to  johns house James pull out a spliff and said "any body got a light ?"

Lensley went into his pocket and found one and gave it to James . They were all siting down on Johns couch passing around the spliff until it was Arielle's turn . Jasmine looked up at her and smirked evilly  . "go ahead Arielle take a pull unless your scared ?" said jasmine .John rubes her arm calmly    and said " go ahead it will make you feel so much better stress free if that's what you want to call it ". 

" if you say so I'll try it " Arielle took one pull and started to cough tremendously 

Jasmine started to laugh " you never smoked before what you don't want mommy on you about it" 

" stop it jasmine leave her alone " said John 

" I have drank before but never smoked there is a first time to every thing right " said Arielle 

" that's the sport now how about you try again and see how it feels " said John . 

Arielle Took another pull and felt the drug starting to take over . As they continued to pass the spliff around she started to fall asleep . When Arielle woke up her surroundings scared her . She was In a bed the room that  wasn't to clean there was a pizza box on the floor graphite on the walls but in a artist way she saw Roaches and was filled with disgust. She started to wish she was home trying to remember what had happened but the loud music was blurring her thoughts . She grew even more frightened when she saw the blood on the bed . She started to dress but was afraid of what might be behind the door if she was to open it . She grew tired as she dosed off. hours later  she felt a hand shaking her .

" damn girl you can sleep " said John 

" ha ha I must have be really tired " said Arielle 

" yea you must have " 

" so what's all the noise outside " as she pointed to the door 

" oh I was just throwing a party that's all ; do you want some thing to eat ?" 

" no I think I might just go home " 

" OK then let me walk you to the door " 

They made there way through the party and to the front door and down the steps . As Arielle tried to walk away John grabbed  her from the back turned her around and started to kiss her gentle at first then more passionate after . When there eyes met He smiled and said " get home safe " 

As Arielle walked home she tried to think of what had happened that night but her mind was a blur . When Arielle finally got home she tippy toed to her room and closed the door behind her.  She half expected her mother to be in the dark waiting for her but she wasn't. So she decided to dose off to sleep.
