The mistake that followed

chapter 2

Arielle jumped out of her sleep breathing  drastically. She wondered if her dream was true. The night before was a blur but she remember some things . Thoughts of her getting raped in her dream started to haunt her. She decide to put these thoughts behind her. She did her every morning routine . She tried to leave the house  when mrs. Matthews her mom called her into the kitchen . 

But she thought her mom would want to know where she was last night but instead Arielle found her mom crying . Arielle paused for a second trying to process what was going on. She moved closer then she said " mommy are you ok ?" 

" sit down sweetie I have some bad news and some good news " said ms. Matthews 

" I really don't  care mom tell me whats wrong and I don't want to sit down "said Arielle in a very scared but soft  tone .

"please don't argue with me child" she yelled. When Arielle fell quite ms. Matthews calmed  down 

"I'm just frustrated that's all I haven't slept all night and I just got home "

" where were you mom is every thing ok?" 

" well your father fell down at work when they took him to the hospital they ran some test and found out he has  cancer ".

Arielle was shocked at what her mom had just said she didn't know what to do but found herself crying . Her mom started to cry along with her for a moment she wanted to scream but her vocal cored wasn't working . Frightened that she might lose her father she ran out the door. She silenced the world around her . Didn't even hear her mom yell after her  or the cars coming her way . When she stop running  she sat on the ground and started to cry tremendously . She wondered why life had to be so hard why she was losing her father why she had no friends and how the outside world could  be so cold . She cried until she felt a hand on her shoulder. When she looked up she saw John her tear ducks became dry  as he let out a hand . 

" why are you Being  so nice to me ?" said Arielle 

" why do you keep asking me that ; I saw you in need so I let out a hand to help you " said John  she couldn't believe her ears so she tried to hide the fact she was blushing .

Arielle didn't know if to believe him of not some thing was up and she could feel it she just wanted to be safe and away from the hell hole she had to call home.

She was beautiful he thought to himself only If she wasn't so insecure. There was beauty on the inside and out. Her skin shined in the most weirdest way but I liked it . When she realized that I was staring at her she gave me a smirk and then a full smile. I haven't seen her smile like that since I'd know her . Her spirit  so peaceful she was harmless but today there was something different she held in her eyes a flicker of pain I saw then it was sadness. I wanted to help but how could I  when I didn't know what was wrong and the fact remained she didn't trust me and wouldn't let me in .

" how about I cheer you up I'm going to take you shopping ; would you like that ?" said John 

Thoughts emerged her head at once . Her mother said that boys would tell you any thing that you would like to hear trying to get what they wanted ; but should  she trust her mother or the boy she loved . Arielle was having an emotional war in her head trying to decide what to do . Believe a woman that does nothing but abuse her or a boy that she hardly even knows . Without even thinking she Took his hand and went into the car .
