Walking back to the herbalist complex I was in shock.

"I must warn you. I'm quite persistent."

Shaking my head I ran a hand through my hair.

"That can't have happened..." I mumbled to myself in disbelief.

"What happened?"

Jumping in shock I turned to see Obi was now walking next to me. He was studying my facial expressions as he walked along side me.

"Oh, Obi... It's just you." I laughed a little.

"Hmm, what happened?" Obi asked again, leaning in more.

"O-Oh! Nothing! I'm fine, it'a fine." I said in slight distress.

"Well I wouldn't say that little run in with the prince was 'nothing'... but if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine." Obi stated nonchalantly, taking a step back from me and crossing his arms.

"Wait you saw that?!" I asked in shock.

"I see lots of things and I just happened to see that." Obi told me.

I face palmed and rubbed my temples.

This isn't going to end well at all...

"You can't tell anyone Obi, please I'm already humiliated." I groaned.

"Humiliated? I wouldn't say that. I'd say you should be impressed with yourself at the very least." Obi told me, slowing his pace, turning to face me.

I stopped to face him as well, ready to prove my humiliation.

"Are you kidding?! He told me I'd be a great object of fascination! An object! That is no way to treat anyone." I countered Obi's point.

"See, that's where you're wrong. You've managed to intrigue a prince so much to the point where he'd ask you to be his aide, and even quite possibly his bride. Now he may only be playing with you, he's not stupid, however-" I opened my mouth to cut Obi off and give him a good old 'told you so' but he held his hand up, signaling me to listen. "However, he'd have to speak to his advisors to wed, but I feel this is a a very peculiar thing for Izana. He has never as much as once spoken of marriage. But you come in here and effortlessly intrigue him so much to where he'd even playfully speak to a commoner like you about marriage. A commoner, he doesn't even look in the direction of people like you and me by free will. You should be impressed." Obi finished and I took a second to absorb his words.

Obi smirked and walked forward, patting me on the head.

"Now you go shower. You smell awful." Obi saluted me playfully before disappearing.

In slight shock I took a second before shaking my head and continuing to the herbalist complex.

"So where were you today?" Shirayuki asked, leaning her elbows on the side of the tub.

"What?" I asked, brushing my wet hair.

"Today you left for a long time today to help Mitsuhide. What did you do?" She asked, shifting to be able to grab the bar of soap that was sitting on a shelf next to the tub.

"Oh... um... well-" I was cut off by a knock at our bathroom door.

"It's Kiki, can I come in?" I heard Kiki's voice on the other side of the door.

"Yes! Come in!" Shirayuki called.

The door opened and Kiki walked in. She smiled and nodded and Shirayuki before heading to me.

"This is for you. They don't fit me anymore. I'm glad you have an interest in this line of work, but I may warn you that I will test you harshly when your skills improve enough. I am loyal to my princes and must assure their safety." She whispered in my ear, setting a very full looking bag down next to me.

When she stood up fully I beamed at her. Overcome with happiness I jumped up and hugged her tightly.

"Okay kiddo, calm down. Don't thank me just yet, you still have to work hard." Kiki laughed, prying me off of her.

"Thank you." I said happily.

Kiki nodded to me before turning to Shirayuki.

"Sorry for intruding, I had to drop off a few things for (Y/N)." Kiki bowed in apology towards Shirayuki.

"No worries, have a good night Kiki!" Shirayuki waved to her as she left.

Once the door was shut Shirayuki rose from the bubbles and grabbed a towel. She walked over to me and peered next to me at the bag Kiki left.

"What's in there?" Shirayuki asked, changing into here pjs.

"O-Oh nothing, just a few things I asked for." I tried my best to sound like I was hiding something, but I've never been very good at that.

"Oh... okay." Shirayuki sounded... hurt?

Glancing at my sister I felt my heart sink as I studied her sad looking face. I turned to her and started to brush her hair. She looked at me in shock. I simply smiled back and continued to brush her hair.

"I remember when you used to brush my hair as a kid." Shirayuki reminisced.

"It was so beautiful and long, I couldn't help myself." I chuckled a little, running the brush through her short, damp, red hair.

Once I'd finished we drained the bath and I slung the bag over my shoulder and we left the bathroom. When we got back to our room Shirayuki went straight to bed. Crawling into my own bed I shut our lamp off.

"I'm sorry Shirayuki, but this is one secret I can't tell even you. I want to protect you, keep you from worrying and keep you happy. Please forgive me." I whispered to myself as I turned on my side and shut my eyes.
