Hurriedly I made my way to the edge of town. From there I hitched a ride on the back of a wine merchant's cart.

After a long ride I thanked the merchant and ventured into the forest where Shirayuki told me to meet her. But I wouldn't make it in time, the sun was beginning to set.

I'll have to sleep here tonight.

I thought, sitting down up against a tree. Leaning my head back I shut my eyes.

I hope Shirayuki is safe.

I awoke to the sound of birds chirping. When I opened my eyes I was blinded by the sun. Covering my eyes with the back of my hand I sat up.

That's right... I have to find my sister.

Standing and stretching I wasted no time with continuing on. However the more I walked the more my stomach began to rumble. Distressed with hunger and nerves I was about to give up when I reached a clearing.

There's a house!

Happily I sped up, walking to the door. I noticed a basket on the doorstep.

It'd be rude to eat someone else's apples, but that means someone is home.

As I leaned over to grab the basket I heard a rustle behind me. Standing up straight I turned around.

"Shirayuki!" Overcome with happiness I ran to my sister. She beamed and opened her arms.

Embracing my sister I let out a laugh of relief.

"I was so scared, they broke into the house and I hid under the bed." I told her. She smiled and brought me in for another hug.

"I take it you two know one another?" Startled by the voice of another person I opened my eyes and broke from the hug.

I was startled by the person I saw. A very handsome boy stood with a hand on his hip, he had bright blue eyes, white hair and was dressed regally.

"This is my sister, Y/N. I was so worried she wouldn't find me." Shirayuki explained to the boy.

"Ah I see. Pleasure to meet you Y/N. I'm Zen." He spoke, smiling at me. Suddenly his expression changed to a shocked one. "Your eyes...." He breathed.

For some reason my heart pounded. Normally when people say this I get annoyed, but with him...

Shaking my head I simply smiled back at him.

"Bizarre I know..." I laughed, looking at my feet.

"Not bizarre, magnificent! You have wonderful eyes." He said with what seemed to be excitement in his voice.

After the introductions Shirayuki, Zen and I headed for the house.

"Oh no... This is the ribbon I had around my hair." Shirayuki said in fear as she picked up the apple basket.

"Prince Raj must've found you..." I gulped.

We went inside and I was introduced to Kiki and Mitsuhide. Zen and my sister discussed the issue on hand while I sat across from them on chair, hungrily eyeing the apples.

As they spoke I slowly picked one up. They didn't notice so I brought it to my mouth and took a bite. The sweet taste of the apple filled my mouth. However somthing tasted off, but I pushed that aside, I was too hungry to care.
