Cliche

It's always "cliche"
Nothing ever changes.
Most of it's "different tenses"
Why can't that be legal?
For every person that makes a mistake gets a knife to their self esteem.
They know what is and what isn't about them.
They can't catch themselves as they fall
Into a deeper nothingness.
Fear will always consume someone every time they hit 'Send.'
What can we do?
Nothing.
All we do is sit,
Stare,
And talk to those people.
We help them up the best we can - But what if they keep falling down?
Weakness?
Helpless?
No...
They're just struggling even more than you anticipated.
YOU offered to help.
Stick to that vow!!
YOU promised to be there.
So don't run away!
THEY are alone and scared and miserable!
So why are YOU leaving them when the going gets too rough?!
You made a sacrifice - so why waste it?!

Left alone in the howling wind
as the texts light up the screen
I lay in bed, puffy red eyes and
Tear stained cheeks.
My glasses have fogged over with
Despair.
All I needed was for you to say "You're going to be okay."

But isn't that too cliche?

Cliche is seen as something
Dishonorable.
Once you say something,
Do something,
Write something,
Cliche -
You're trapped in a never ending loop of the harsh reality.
Caving in on you every chance it gets.

But that's cliche.
It's overused.
Everything has been used!!
Some things are a bit brighter
Some things are darker.
The plots will look like others at one point.
But we don't have much
variety anymore!
To work with something so
- Overused will crack your brain into pieces.

Once again.... Too cliche...
