Chapter Eight
Two Days Later...
A sharp pain shot through my head as I sat up. I looked around to see where I was at. I wasn't in my bedroom I was surrounded by a large range of flowers and butterflies and grass and a trees.
There was a water fall leading its flow into the pond in front of me. The sound of it was just so peaceful.
And even thought I didn't know where this place was... I felt save and secure here.
"Beautiful isn't it?" I looked to me left to see the sweet, soft, calm, familiar voice that those words came from.
"Mom?" She smiled and sat next to me on the bench.
She looked so different. She looked happier, and it looked as if she was care free. Like she had not a worry in the world. She looked younger. There were no dark circles under her eyes, her eyes where piercing blue again and she looked healthier.
A warm tear feel slowly down my cheek. I missed her so much. Why did she just leave me like that? Why did David talk what ment the most to me?
"No, here there are no cries, no pain, and no sorrows." She spoke again taking her hand and whipping my tear away.
A few moments pasted by.
"I don't know what to do. I need help and I have no one to help me." I left my words drift of in the wind.
"You'll always have me. I'm always here." She said trying to make me feel better about the situation that I'm in. But in all reality I know that, that's not good enough. I gave her a small smile letting her know that I appreciate just that.
"But I know that you think that, that's probably not enough..." she started. And this is why I love her so much.
"So I was talking to Lauren and-" I cut her off.
A big smile crossed my face. I had remembered she was still alive. She was in that mental institution in the next county.
"Is she alright? How is she? I haven't seen her." I said a little to happy than I should have been in the moment.
"No, she hear somewhere, I've been trying to find her." I could feel my smile fade.
"No how could that be she was put in a mental institution just a while ago." I said not wanting to believe her.
She looked at me deeply in my eyes and shook her head. "This is too much for you."
"What happened?" I asked wanting to at least now what happened.
She took in a deep breathe and waited a minute before she began to speak. "It was two days after she was signed in to the hospital. Strangely she 'died in her sleep' but i was there. He was there..." she was inferring to David. " He was chasing her. He grabbed her and to tochered her for three days. He beat her, cut her and did way more than just that. Then was he killed her the torcher way have stopped for her but it didn't stop for me. He knew I'd be watching over her." she took another breather and began again.
