Taeyong wasn't kidding. I get into my first class the next morning at like 5:30 and the first think they have me do is hold a plank. Now holding a plank for a minute is okay, 2 is bearable, but a 5 minute plank, no thank you. Then we had wall sits. I thought I was mentally prepared, but nothing could prepare me for 10 minute wall sits. The trainer strolled from one side of the room to another evaluating me and the 11 girls next to me.

"The priority of an idol is her image and believe it as not ladies, but your body is part of your image. You must maintain a slim, beautiful figure and even then the netizens will call you ugly and fat."*

"Yes ma'am," all of us responded in sync. I thought her words were harsh, but the other girls seemed used to it. There were no idols I'm this room, just trainees.

"Stand," I thought we were done but boy oh boy I was wrong. We did everything from pushups to sit-ups to pullups and then we ran three miles. I was exhausted and I still had 17 hours left of training left to go.

After morning workout was breakfast, mind you it was only 7. At breakfast I sat with my new roommates Park Jungyeon and Yiyang. My brother came over to me. My new friends started bowing while I just looked at him. "Y/n, he is one of your seniors. You need to bow," Jungyeon hissed at me.

"I'm not bowing to my brother, what do you want Jaehyun?"

"I'm hurt," Jaehyun acted like he was in a drama or something. "I just wanted to see how my little sister is doing."

"Little sister my butt," I responded.

"One day we will find out I am the older twin." I just looked at him.

In your dreams.

I am right and you know it.

I will know it when Mom and Dad tell us.

"What is going on?" Yiyang looked from me to my idiot.

I turned to my friends explaining, "This is my twin brother also known as Jaehyun of NCT."

"Please take good care of her. She can be a little rude at times, but if you look past her attitude I'm sure there is a heart in there somewhere."

"Shut up!"

"Hey, I'm the idol here. You are my junior."

"Yes sir," I mocked him. My friends were appalled at my speaking back to him. I grew up with this boy so I was not afraid of him whatsoever. I don't care about the formalities between idols and whatnot when the idol is my brother.

"You should be nicer to your brother y/n," Taeyong came up behind Jaehyun. "So, how is your first day going? You look dead."

I didn't really know how to take his comment so I responded, "I mean I feel pretty dead inside so...."

Taeyong snickered, "And you didn't believe me earlier. SM is the real deal. I don't know how you were trained before, but I don't think there is anything more intense than this."

I got a little bit defensive about him insulting my old company, "JYP was pretty intense too. Sure we didn't have 5 minute planks, but you should see the workout regimen. Plus, at JYP the idols and trainees seemed to always be happy. Here they just put you down for being slightly less skinny than your colleagues."

Taeyong defendes SM, "Whatever they do now is just prepare you for the real world. There's always going to be someone prettier, skinnier, or more talented than us. If we don't know that before we debut then the netizens will tear us up. They just want to protect us."

"He's not wrong," Yiyang chimed in. "I mean Wendy was fat shamed, but she is one of the prettiest, most talented idols I know. She wasn't even fat. It's a cruel place in the world girl idols. They will use any little flaw against you."

"If we don't learn that we are not perfect then how can we be expected to strive to be perfect," Jungyeon finished Yiyang's thought.

"Your a pretty girl y/n, but netizens will compare you to others and tear you up in a heartbeat. I'm just trying to look out for you because your brother is my friend," Taeyong commented.

Jaehyun shouldered him, "Hey! Are you hitting on my sister?" Taeyong just rolled his eyes and walked away.

I knew it was going to be a struggle to get used to this atmosphere, but things just seem to getting more complicated. I can't tell if this training is actually better or worse. I was going to have a long time to think about how I feel about my new training. It was only breakfast.
