"1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 1. 2. 3- y/n, fix your hip," my instructor called me out. I pulled up and pushed out my hip just about 2 centimeters more. This was like trying to pass the basic dance test at JYP again. I got through the rest, but that wasn't saying much as it was only 128 counts and there were only 5 of us.

"Yiyang, why is there no feeling in your dancing? Lami, every single move you just did was sloppy. Why do you look like a flailing fish?" Instructor Kim pointed out each and every one of our flaws before sighing. "Why are you all taking so long to learn this? My debuted idols could learn the basics of this in two days, then spend the next three days perfecting it, two days on positioning, and a final day working out any kinks. After that, you practice till you can dance the full routine in your sleep or blindfolded. When you debut you need to be better than them and show you are the future of kpop."

I was confused on why they would want us to be so competitive with our seniors. I understood that we had to refine our skills and show that our company was constantly improving and evolving, but to blow our seniors out of the water seemed impossible.

"It has been four hours and yet you guys are still stuck at 128 counts when the song is three and a half minutes long. At this rate do not expect to debut and don't waste my time. I'm not willing to teach those who do not want to learn," Instructor Kim left the room and one of my fellow trainees, Lami, collapsed.

I ran over to her, "Are you okay?" I picked her up to her feet and walked her to a wall to lean against. I ran to get her water and made sure she didn't choke. This girl was so young (Lami is '03 line) and yet the trainer was belittling her. I understand that this is a training system, and honestly it wasn't much better at JYP, but this girl was young. Lami was probably underweight, sleep deprived, and dehydrated. It was almost 9 at night and I still had vocal classes, but I was exhausted. This little girl went to school, practiced, and she still has one more training class in addition to homework.

"Thank you," Lami wouldn't make eye contact with me so I grabbed her chin and pulled her to face me. In her eyes I saw exhaustion.

"You are tired Lami. How about this, take a nap for 10 minutes and I will wake you," I proposed. I didn't even need to get an answer because she was out like a light. After 5 minutes my fellow trainees started training again. We still had 30 minutes of class left so we might as well use it, even if we don't have an instructor.

Only a minute after I wake Lami, the door squeaks open. The adorable little boy I met with my brother entered. "Oh, hi Jisung. Why did you come in?" The boy just looked around.

"Have any of you seen Johnny?"

"You lost a member again?" Hina teased him.

"We have a lot of members. Technically, I didn't loose him, but as Maknae my hyungs are making me look for him."

"How did you loose Johnny of all people? He is loud and tall," Koeun looked at Jisung at disbelief. I had met Johnny with Jaehyun just long enough to say hi as he went from one schedule to another. He left enough of an impression to allow me to agree with my fellow trainees.

"Jisung, I'm right here," Johnny popped his head into the doorway then came in. "Why are y'all looking for me?"

"Maybe because you disappeared for a hot second," Jisung semi sassed his member.

"Dude, I went to the restroom for 3 minutes," Johnny looked at him in disbelief. "What happened in those 3 minutes?"

"In those three minutes we left the practice rooms and were heading back to the dorms. It wasn't till we we're halfway there I realized you weren't there and told the hyungs. They sent the Dream back to find you" Jisung explained. I didn't understand why there were still in the room. I was slightly annoyed that they were interrupting our practice. I turned back to the mirror and began to dance again. One by one my fellow trainees also began to practice with me.

The boys caught on pretty quickly. Johnny grabbed his Maknae, pulling him out the door, "We will be leaving now. Oh, and y/n, your brother told me that if I run into you to invite you to dinner tonight."

"Tell him I'll go, but he needs to pick me up. I still have classes till midnight," I responded. It was going to be a long night.
