It was finally the day of our debut. The music video had dropped last night at 9 and I had stayed up with my brother so we could do a VLive leading up to the music video drop. The reaction video Jaehyun and I filmed would come later today. And we had to get to the music show at unreasonable hours of the morning. We arrived at about 5. I slept through hair and makeup for the most part and I assume Jaehyun did. When we finally woke up, our managers made enough room for us to practice a mini version of our choreography before we put on our stage outfits.

The practice seemed to go well as our managers had nothing negative to say. Then, again, maybe they were just trying to keep us from psyching ourselves out. All of a sudden we were on stage for our three practice rehearsals. The first time the music was drowning out our voices, then the lights to indicate which camera we needed to be looking at weren't working, but on the third try, everything went perfectly which reassured me.

As I got off the stage I saw some familiar faces. Some of the NCT members had come to cheer on their member and lone behold, Taeyong was there too. I avoided conversation with him as much as I could, thanking everyone for coming then engaging in a conversation in English with Johnny and Mark. They, however, were useless and switched back to Korean to include Taeyong in the conversation. By the smirks on their faces, I could tell they knew even if Taeyong didn't know. My saving grace was since there were managers in the room he had to be incredibly discrete and act like he was just there to support.

The time flew by and all of a sudden we were being told we were on in 10. I started to get really nervous, butterflies in my stomach and everything. My brother sensed my distress and came over to comfort me silently. The boys took the hint and started to leave the room.

"Are you okay?" Jaehyun asked with the most caring tone I had heard out of him in my life.

"Just nervous," I responded as I tried to get my emotions and shaking back in check. I took a big breath in and thought about breathing out all the negativity, "I'm good." As I said that a manager popped his head in and instructed us to the stage. We followed him and suited up with our microphones and sound devices. A couple of groups walked by us and we bowed to them introducing ourselves. Finally, the boys came back over and wished us our final good luck before we were called to stage. The group before us did amazing and I was not sure if we would be able to follow it up. I didn't get much of a choice though because of all of a sudden we were on the stage moving to our positions.

I saw the boys off stage and they gave us that look that oozed encouragement. I locked eyes with Taeyong one more time before I dropped my head, locking myself into the starting position. The music started and I started to move. When my parts came I sang. I felt like I was not in the moment, but rather watching myself give a great performance. I had gone completely into autopilot, but I could tell I was doing well. The energy on stage was incredible especially with the fan chants and screaming from my brother's fans. I wanted to cry when I heard them scream during my parts but I had to keep it together and perform well for the.

When the song was over and I had my ending fairy moment. Then, the technicians came on in our earpieces and told us we were good. We quickly exited the stage, bowing and thanking the fans as we went. Since it was a live show, we needed to get off so the next team which meant I could not spend as much time as I wanted to thank the fans.

Once we were off the stage the boys rushed us and practically tackled my brother. When the finished terrorizing him they sandwiched me in too. I literally could not breathe and I did not know whose chest my face was buried in until they all let go and lone behold it was him. I quickly moved away and tackled my brother. I felt my feet go off the ground as he hugged me like he used to hug his teddy bear when we were toddlers. I had never felt so proud and I started to tear up a little. I didn't want to ruin my makeup so instead of letting tears fall I hugged him back harder.

We stayed in the hallway for a bit and a couple of boy groups came by to give us their albums which I figured we would have to reciprocate later. Our managers came to collect us and bring us back to our room. Finally, I was allowed to eat so our managers went to get us food. While they were gone I brought up giving out our albums to which my brother rolled his eyes. He agreed nonetheless and we went from room to room to hand out our albums. For the most part we got albums back, some groups looked like they were writing stuff to put in the album so I wondered what that was about.

When we finally got back to our room I saw the other NCT members were gone which was nice to see because now I didn't have to worry about being bothered. Within minutes our managers showed back up with food which we carefully ate so our makeup artists would not have to do too much work. Then, since I had nothing to do I reached for the first album to flip through.

Do that on the couch if you are going to do it and do not lift the albums too high.

What do you mean?

There are probably some numbers in there and while it is okay with the girls the managers won't be so happy if they see paper fall from a boy album.

I thought that was what the sandwiches were for.

That's disgusting, what if the person eats it or they do find the number, but now it is covered in food. It is easier to just give out your number in an album.

Oh, okay.

I did as I was told and sat on the couch to open the albums. My brother was right, there was a slip with a phone number on it or the phone number was strategically signed to the pages of the photobook. I was honestly impressed and very excited to reach out to other artists.

You do realize some of them are hitting on you, right.

Possibly, but I just want to see who I can be friends with. Otherwise, I feel like the idol world can start to get lonely.

You will have your own sisters soon though.

Yeah, but I think it is never a bad idea to have friends.

After what felt like forever we were being called to the stage for the awards. We didn't win, but that was fine because the group that one really deserved it.
