"Pack your bags," JYP ordered. "You move into the SM dorm tomorrow." I froze, shocked.
"JYP PDnim... I.... I.... I'm getting.... Getting traded." I tried my best to formulate my sentence.
"Correct," Lee Sooman chimed in. "Don't worry, SM entertainment does not trade our trainees to get just anyone. We plan on debuting you so long as you keep up with your training."
If you are going to be traded show them they were wrong to trade you I told myself. I knew I was good enough to be considered to join a JYP debuting team so now I just needed to prove myself worthy of joining the debuting team of SM that will take over the new generation. Maybe I'm a little petty.
"Yes sir, I will work my hardest," I promised.
"Call me Teacher or Father, whatever you prefer. That's what all my other idols call me."*
"Yes Teacher," I bowed. "I will go back to my dorm and pack my bags." I walked out of the room shoulders back and chin held high. I started to feel my lip quiver as I passed the practice rooms. By the time I made it to my dorm room I collapsed on the floor shuddering and sobbing. I stayed there for a good hour before anyone found me.
"Y/N?" I heard a voice calling out to me but I did not move from my spot. I was sitting up against the wall with my legs straight out in front of me, hands folded in my lap. "Oh Y/N." Chaeryung enveloped me in a hug. I leaned into her as the sobs started up again. "What happened Y/N?"
"I.... I..... I have been traded. To SM."
"Oh honey," Chaeryung's patted my back. I cried and cried and cried some more. After 30 minutes I had dry eyes and a growling stomach.
"Maybe we should get some food in you before I go back to practice," Chaeryung suggested. I nodded allowing her to take my arms and pick me up. We made our way to the cafeteria and grabbed fruit cups and vegetable packs. "I'll throw a little going away party tonight. Do you want me to tell them for you?"
"No," I considered going back to my room and ignoring the world, but my ambitious side got the best of me. "I want to finish my practice today."
"Okay, we will do that."
I finished eating and cleaned up my mess, though there wasn't much of a mess to clean up. When I appeared in the practice room all my friends came over and hugged me.
"Do you know how worried we were?" Natty interrogated.
"I'm sorry. I am not scheduled to practice so I was in my room. I just wanted to do my last practice here. I didn't want to leave with regrets of not learning what I could while I was here." I saw confusion on all of my friends faces.
"What do you mean? Are you leaving?" Chaeyeon looked to be trying to deny her suspicions.
"Yes, I'm leaving. I am transferring to a company that will suit me better, don't worry."
Natty saw right though me, "We all know that's a lie. JYP is not only the perfect entertainment company for you, but you also look like you have been crying. What really happened."
"Ummm..." I fought back a lump in my throat. "I was traded to SM entertainment.... I move into their dorm tomorrow."
Somi processed the information as conflicting emotions showed on her face. After a minute she seemed to have realized, "You are going to be in the same company as your brother!"
"I hadn't yet thought of that." I pondered her statement realizing she was right. "I guess that's true."
"Care to fill us in," I looked at Ryujin then realized the other girls were staring at me the same way.
"My twin brother is Jaehyun of the new SM boy group NCT." I heard a thud coming from the general direction of the door. I turned to see Bambam on the floor and Jackson with his mouth wide open. "Oh, hello," I bowed with the rest of my trainee friends.
The two boys regained their composure before the questions came in from Jackson, "You have a twin?"
"Correct."
"And he is an idol."
"Yes, he recently debuted."
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Bambam pouted with puppy dog eyes and all.
"You never asked. Plus I leave tomorrow so, there really is no reason to keep quiet about it anymore to my JYP family. I just ask that you guys don't tell people."
"What do you mean you leave tomorrow." And so the process of explaining why I was leaving and where I was going went on. In the night all of my friends from the company, so basically the whole company, came and said bye to me. There was cake and promises goodbye presents to be delivered to my new dorm. I did not cry, but there were several close calls.
After the get together/party thing everyone headed off to bed. It wasn't until Chaeryung, Natty, Chaeyeon, and Ryujin invaded Somi and my dorm, refusing to leave did tears fall. All of us cried together and we ended up pulling an allnighter.
The next morning my friends escorted me outside with my luggage. When we arrived in front of the company I gave my bags to the driver and said goodbye to my friends once again.
"Promise you will try to keep in contact," Somi begged.
"I promise," we all hugged once more then I climbed into the back of the car waving as the driver closed the door.
I turned to face a familiar face. "I missed you noona." I fell into his arms and cried into his shoulder.
