The next morning, Harper was gone before Billy had woken. When he went into his cupboard for the day's set of clothes, he noticed a pair of his basketball shorts and a t-shirt missing. He knew Harper had them, which wasn't a surprise. Her clothes were blood-soaked.Billy picked up what Harper left on his floor, underwear, bra, shirt and jeans and went a threw them out. There was no way the blood was coming out of any of them.
Everything that happened with Harper last night was surreal and for the first time in months, he didn't wake up with an unbearable amount of anger. He felt lonely. Billy couldn't understand how a girl, a girl with such attitude and passion could see straight through him, Billy Hargrove. She was everything he never knew he needed and even though they were so intimate just the night before, Billy knew she would be just out of his reach, barely close enough for his fingertips to brush her hair.
With a small sigh, Billy walked back into the house and to his bedroom. As he went to grab his pack of cigarettes, he noticed a piece of paper resting underneath it. When he picked it up, he knew Harper left it,
'Gone home to grab my car. Will come back with max. xo' He smiled at the note, placed it back on the dresser and turned the radio on.

Harper had woken up around five that morning and walked home. As soon as she arrived at her house, she snuck in and quickly changed before grabbing the keys to her car and sneaking back out. Her destination was the Byer's. She wouldn't know what happened until she got there.
Harper's mind went to Billy as she drove. What happened last night was not what she expected, and she knew no one could know. But she saw a completely different side to the usually cocky, rude douchebag she'd known him to be.
Once she was just around the corner from the Byer's she took a deep breath, and pushed out all of her previous thoughts, instead focusing on everything that was just about to happen.
As soon as she pulled up to the driveway, Dustin was on the porch. Harper didn't bother taking the keys out of her car as she quickly jumped out and ran over to her younger brother. She pulled him into a tight hug, which he returned with a light one, and as soon as she pulled back, she gave him a proud smile,
"Did your plan work?" She questioned. Dustin nodded with a toothy grin,
"So its all over? They're all gone?" She asked,
"Yep, ever single one of them." Harper looked up and her eyes landed on Steve, who didn't look too good. His face was bruised and their were cuts everywhere, but it didn't matter. Harper moved from her brother and embraced her friend, who wrapped his arms around her,
"Thank god you're okay." She whispered, causing him to chuckle,
"Me? Look at you, you're walking as if you don't have three huge gashes in your back!" Harper chuckled, and pulled away. As she did, Steve expression hardened, "Did Billy give you any trouble?" As he asked Harper that question, max, Lucas, mike, eleven walked out. Harper gave max a hug, before turning back to steve,
"I took him home and told his parents Max was staying at my house. Billy went along with it." She explained. While technically it wasn't a lie, it wasn't the total truth either. But Steve nodded, believing Harper wholeheartedly.
"I'll drop you off at home, Max." Harper told the redhead, who nodded and thanked her.
"Do you think you can drop us off too?" Lucas asked, referring to himself and mike.
