Back to Spencer

I had looked everywhere for Toby. He told me he was getting us Punch, but I still hadn't seen him around the house. This was wierd.

I walked over to the Punch Bowl again to see if he showed up. He wasn't there.

Alison was the only one standing next to the Punch Bowl. She looked upset over something.

"Hey, Ali. Um, have you seen Toby anywhere? He went to get us some Punch, but now I can't find him."

She looked at me, and I could see her eyes all red.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

She shrugged, and whipped her eye. "I'm fine. And no, I haven't seen Toby. Sorry."

I sighed. "Okay. Can you just let me know if you see him?"

She nodded with a smile. Not a real smile; it looked more like a forced one. She always used to do that smile.

I walked away before I could assume anything about her.

This sucked. He probably bailed on me. It would make since. This whole Ali thing probably upset him. He hated her back then, after all.

This was too much for me to handle. All I wanted was for everything to work out, and to be okay. But that obviously wasn't going to happen.

I made my way upstairs to my room. Or my old room. Maybe not so old anymore if this thing with Toby got any worse.

I knew my bed and some of my pictures were still in there, so it wouldn't be completely empty.

I pushed open the closed door, and to my surprise Toby was sitting on my bed. He jumped when I walked in, and quickly put what he was holding into his pocket.

"Toby... there you are. What're you doing in here?"

"Um..." it sounded like he had been crying. "I just needed some place to rest."

I closed the door behind me. "What's wrong?"

He shrugged. "Nothing. I'm f-fine."

I sat down next to him. "Well, you don't sound fine. Is this about Alison?"

He looked up quickly at me as if I said something really rude.

"I just mean.. her being here. Does it upset you or something? I know you guys weren't besties or anything, but that was the past. And I thought you said you were over what happened then."

"It's not about Alison, okay? I just... I got tired. That's all. And it was loud down there."

I half-laughed. "Okay. Why didn't you just tell me you were coming up here then?"

He attempted a smile back at me. "I don't know... maybe because it's your bedroom."

I looked down, my face blushing hard. "Well still... you could've just told me."

"Fine then. Let's go back downstairs." He responded.

He tried getting up, but I grabbed his arm. "No, wait..."

I brought him back on the bed and kissed him lightly on the lips. He pulled away, looking at me.

Finally he kissed me back, and I pushed him back on the bed. I rolled us over to where I was laying on top of him.

We kissed for a while, not wanting to pull away. His lips felt good on mine. Tasted like him... the him that I missed so much.

I pulled his shirt off over his head, and kissed his chest. I felt his abbs under my touch.

I kissed his lips again; this time trying to take off my dress. He helped me with the zipper in the back. We pulled it off of me together.

I kissed him and then tried to make this even farther. That's when I went to the buckle on his jeans. But he pulled away, out of breath.

"Spencer... I can't do this. I'm sorry." He said.

I looked at him, confused. "Okay. Is something wrong?" I pulled a blanket over myself.

"Yeah... I just. I don't feel very well." He responded.

"Okay, do we need to leave early?"

He shook his head. "No. You stay. It's your party."

"I'll go." He added.

He grabbed his shirt, pulling it back over his head. "I'll see you later, alright?" He said.

I nodded, still confused.

But before I could say anything more, he closed the door on his way out. Leaving me wondering what the hell just happened.
