She approached me on my way home from school. This interesting girl from an alternate side of the world. She follows me everywhere. Why does she wanna follow me? I dunno, I Nagase Gotoki am a boring person.

The morning of that day, I was walking to school as usual. I brought my younger brother to nursery school on the way. Then I went to school, got in my seat and class started. I have no friends at school, I'm quiet so no one comes close to me. It's almost like I'm invisible.

My daily life is just, making breakfast and lunch boxes, bringing my brother to school, going to school, leaving school, picking up my brother, going home, making dinner, studying, watching my brother, and going to sleep.

My dad is at work almost all the time. My mom isn't around at the moment. It's usually just me and my brother. I don't mind though. I have no hobbies, and I don't dislike watching my brother.

On my way home to school, I had to walk across train tracks. When I was right in the middle, I randomly stopped. I sat there, staring into space. My mind was completely blank. Then, the bars on both sides of the tracks went down.

If you ever see train tracks, you most likely know that when those bars go down, that means a train is coming. I don't know why, but I just SAT THERE. I couldn't move at all. Did I want to get hit? It's not like I have a horrible life, but would I rather be dead?

At that moment, I heard a voice.

"Get out of here, Nagase."

It was a girls voice. I listen to her and jumped over the bar. I hit the ground only a couple seconds before the train got to where I was standing just before.

The weird thing is, I wasn't freaking out at all. I just almost DIED, but yet I'm completely calm!

"Nagase." It was her again. I turned around, but she wasn't there.

"Nagase." Now the voice was on the other side of me. This time when I looked, I saw her.

She was standing there, a girl with black hair and enchanting lavender eyes.

"Who are you?" I asked her.

"Oh! It's you! I found you so quickly."

She was smiling an evil smile.

"You were looking for me?"

"Yes. I was sent here to find you."

"Sent by who?"

"My boss. I can't tell you they're name, unfortunately. But I can say they sent me from the other side."

"..."

"It's my turn for questions! Why were

you just standing there?"

"Mmm, I dunno."

"You could've gotten killed! Then my boss would be angry! That would suck!"

"..."

"You looking to die or something?"

"Not particularly."

"Be more careful, then!"

"So what does your boss need me for?"

"He doesn't need you. More like you need to be surveillanced."

"I need to be watched? I haven't done anything."

"You might, and I will prevent it."

"Who are you anyway?"

"Yata Samitsuki. The official watcher of Nagase Girita."
