Six thirty. And that sister of his was still asleep. Yeesh. She could sleep through the apocalypse... "Amy, time to get up sis..." Tyler nudges her gently. "Come on, we'll be late!" The Yagami son was already fully dressed and ready to go, having woken up half an hour before his younger sister. He now wore an orange short sleeve tee shirt, brown shorts, white socks that reached up to his knees, red converse, and a pair of brown gloves.
Amy murmured something in her sleep before turning over. Deep dreaming as usual. Probably about the Digital World yet again. Typical Amy. He sighs in defeat, giving up and heading downstairs.
"Sleeping soundly I presume?" Sora asked with a chuckle as her son came down cursing how long his sister could sleep. "The end of the world wouldn't wake her." He mumbles. The mother of three stifles a laugh. "I should've figured." She places a stack of dishes in the sink to wash later. "You don't have to walk with her today. I'll have your father drive her." Tyler exhales in relief. "Thanks mom." He grabs her satchel and slung it over his shoulder. "See you after school." He hugged her. "Love you!" He yelled, running out the door. Sora laughs silently but right after he left, it felt like as if something had got caught in her throat. She held her breath and rushed to the window. She's able to see her son and drew a relieved breath. Thank God... He was safe... She stepped away from the window after casting one last glance at her son's retreating back. But what was that feeling she had gotten just a few seconds ago? Like a cold wet hand on her neck... Just worry perhaps? No... That couldn't be it... She knew what worry felt like... She had felt it every day since she had given birth to Sarah 13 years ago... This was different...
She sat on the couch, hands in her lap now shaking. Should she tell Taichi..? No... She shouldn't bother her husband... He had enough on his plate already! For God's sake he was an ambassador of the Digital World! The worried woman shuddered. There was a feeling in her gut and heart... Something just felt wrong today... So in the silence of her house while her youngest daughter slept upstairs, she once again, like she did nearly everyday, prayed for the safety of her children...
"Ty! Hey! Tyler!" Tyler turned his head and felt as if the weight of the world had been lifted off his shoulders once he saw a familiar figure enter his view. She had black hair as dark as night, reaching her back with shining blue eyes the color of a calm river. Like him, she dressed casual and comfortable. A large white sweater with black stripes that seemed a little big for her with a matching black skirt, white ankle socks, and black polished dress shoes. She carried a tan satchel over her shoulder and a pair of glasses sat on high on her petite little nose. This was his best friend, Kido Wendy. "Buenos dias Tyler!" She waved her pale hand in greeting and the Yagami boy stood in place, waiting for her.
"Thanks for waiting art kid!" She says in a teasing manner, catching up to him. "No problem four eyes." The two began to walk to school, this time together. "Ready for Spanish amigo?" Tyler nods. "Si! Did you print the study guide? Mrs. Lopez said we were having a test on Friday." The Kido girl sighs. "Already? Man... We've only been in this elective for a week and she already wants to test us?" She ran her fingers through her hair. "I have no idea how dad expects straight As with a teacher like that!" Tyler laughed. "A Kido not studying for a test? That's unheard of him!" He jokes.
Wendy looks to him with suspicion. "Hmm..." She stuck out her lip as she stared him down. Tyler felt beads of sweat forming on his forehead. "W-What is it?" He asks nervously. She straightens up, furrowing her brow at her best friend. "You okay art kid? You seem a little off today..." The Yagami waves his hand, trying to dismiss her thoughts. "Nah I'm fine I'm fine!" Wendy rolls her reflective blue eyes at him. "Is the bad liar thing a trait passed down from the Yagami family tree? It seems to be dominate cause you all have it..." It was Tyler's turn to be suspicious with a mixture of confused. "It's my way of saying that you're a terrible liar Yagami." She rolls her eyes.
