кσяяιиα ρυѕнє∂ мє αωαу fяσм тнє flames just in time before it reached me. "Grandfather?! Master Gurkinn?!" she yelled. "Where are you?!"

Korrina's eyes were filled with nervousness. She yelled and yelled. I looked around. We were outside of the burning gym and citizens were all looking at, not me, Korrina.

She looked back at them, "Go to the Tower Mastery if you don't feel safe in your own shelter!"

I expected a few maybe to go but all of them actually ran over there. They all trusted Korrina. After all, she The was the strongest of them all. Although, she hadn't beaten her own grandfather yet.

"X, you go too!"

I shook my head. She became a little frustrated. "So you're gonna help?"

"Yeah, I guess."

"You guess?!" shouted Korrina. "If you only guess, I guess I can leave you in the Tower so you can decide for yourself."

"Korrina! X! The culprit!" yelled a familiar voice. I turned. Y was chasing a man. When I looked down, I widened my eyes. She jumped onto a skateboard. Nearby was a skate park.

"Change of plans. Go after the man."

I looked at Korrina in disbelief, but I couldn't speak. She had went into the flames. I yelled her name. No answer.

I turned to see Y. The flyer skillfully chased him into the skate park. I forgot to mention that she had her flying suit on. She chased him towards the edges. The man tried to jump off but immediately noticed the big drop so he ran back. Y skated off the edge and boosted herself off the skateboard. She used her wings to glide towards the running man.

I ran towards the skate park as Y wrapped her arms around him and wrestled him to the ground. "Houndoom!"

Houndoom came out of nowhere and started biting Y's hair. She screamed in pain. She gritted her teeth to try to stop herself from making a sound. Y was trying. Trying really hard. I sent out Marisso. While Marisso pulled Houndoom away, I pulled Y. Her knees were badly bruised and her face was covered with sweat. I imagined Korrina, too, having so much sweat and stressing over her grandfather.

"We gotta find Gurkinn."

Y nodded feebly. We turned to see a bunch of people from the tower sending out their Pokémon after the man. A female roller skater stopped when she got in front of us. "We'll take care of the man. Help Lady Korrina, please!"

Again, Y nodded. This time she smiled. Her smile faded as the roller skater skated away towards the chaos and as she turned to me. I stared at the blood coming out of her suit on her knees. Mostly her left knee. She followed my gaze and laughed, "I know. But what else can I do about it?"

"Let's go find Korrina."

"Right."

We slid into the gym, finding the flames had managed to calm down a bit. After a minute of trying to find her, I spotted Korrina in the middle of the battlefield. She was frantically looking at her surroundings. She found Y first.

"Yvonne!" she cried. "X! Grandfather is up there!"

Korrina pointed at the ceiling. I couldn't spot Gurkinn, all I saw were flames. I began to cough. The dirty smoke invaded my lungs and they were desperate. Desperate for survival. So desperate that I fell to my knees. My asthma kicked in.

Y ran over to me. Korrina gave me a worried look. "Get him out!"

My mother and my sisters had always told me that I looked like I was about to die. My father didn't, since he used to smoke and had pneumonia before so he knew what it felt like. He stopped smoking when I was born. Pneumonia was when Vonnie was a very lonely girl.
