This is Forever

Is she okay???

"I know. I love you too" he pulls her into a hug. When she opens her eyes, still hugging Patrick, she tenses up and freezes and just whispers "Patrick-"
Patrick turns around to see him there. The tall Chris Ivory. "And we meet again. How are you babe??"
"What the hell are you doing here?"
Patrick is getting very angry at him obviously. Ellen is just sitting in his arms shaking. " Christopher, go home. Or I'm calling the police. Leave me alone. I broke up with you. A long time ago. I'm Patrick's now. I'm no longer of your concern." Ellen had gathered herself for the first time in a while. Patrick had smiled at her. Until Chris came over and threw Ellen on the floor. He started to beat her and kept throwing her around.
Patrick dialed the police and they came in a hurry. Patrick tried to pull Chris off of his crying Ellen. She was right. He is pretty strong. Patrick failed at pulling him off of her. He felt useless.
The police came and took Chris. Patrick ran over and told them what happened. Then ran over to the paramedics who were taking a look at Ellen. "Patrick. Where's Patrick??" The paramedics stepped back after they placed her on the stretcher. He grabbed her hand and she turned to look at him. "I'm right here babe. I'm sorry this happened. I tired to get him off but I just cou-" she cut him off.
"Patrick. It's okay don't blame yourself. I know what he's capable of. I should've told you sooner. I'm sorry for causing you all this trouble" They both had tears streaming down there face by now. "Ellie never apologize. You have nothing to be sorry for. I love you and I will do anything to be with you. Let's get you to the hospital okay?"
"Okay. I love you"
At the Hospital
"Looks like she has some bruising here, here and here" the doctor said to pointing to some films "you do have a sprained left wrist, a dislocated left shoulder, and a fractured left ankle. I'm going to just give you a sling for the wrist and shoulder and a boot for your foot. Other than that I just want to see you back in 4 weeks."
Ellen had tears streaming down her face. Patrick got on the bed and held her till the doctor came back with everything and got it on her. Patrick helped her out to his car. And drove her home.
"Patty.....I ..... I'm scared...." ellen kept crying. Patrick placed his hand on her thigh. " Ellen, it's okay to be scared but I promise that I'll protect you.  I know i keep sayin that and i keep breaking that promise and I'm sorry. I will do better"
"No it's not because of that. It's because I'm not good at this. I don't want to hold you back from anything. If I am just let me go. Break up with me. Sure I'll be alone bu-"
"Stop. You're perfect. It makes me sad to see you like this. I love you. Okay?" She nodded. They pulled in and he carried her in and set her in the couch. He poured  them each a glass of wine and turned on the TV. They say there with her laying on him until she fell fast asleep.
