Steven's POV
Me and (Y/N) were sitting on the floor practicing our song and we heard Dad freaking out so we went to the doorway and listened making sure nobody could see us.
"They take them away from me..." Dad said stopping and tearing up.
We listened to them a bit longer before going back to our room.

Your POV
It was the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep, Dad was freaking out and Steven...
"Hey bro?" I said quietly
"Yeah?" He said
"I can't sleep..."
"Neither can I. Is it about what the gems and dad were talking about?"
"Yeah..."
"You want to sing with me?"
"Yeah." I said nodding my head.
Steven picked up his ukelele and we sang until we fell asleep.

Greg's POV
The morning came and I was still up panicking about that social worker. I sat down and didn't notice when I fell asleep on the couch.
Your POV
I woke up and then woke Steven. We decided to go and see dad so we went to the sitting room where he was passed out on the couch.
"Should we wake him up?" Steven asked
"Nah, leave him we can go out and do stuff in town." I replied
"Okay! Let's go!"

Steven and I were walking down the beach holding hands and singing our song.
"Steven, (Y/N) what are you doing out here without Greg?!" We heard Garnet say
"Dad was sleeping on the couch so we came out here!" Steven said
A screech came from behind Garnet.
"You need to go home, now!" She said
"But-" I started
"No! Go now!"
"I think we should go!" Steven said holding my hand tighter stepping backwards.
Then I saw a creature behind Garnet. It was green and orange, sort of like a drawing I did a few days ago I think I saw it in a dream once. To me it looked scared. I ran away from Steven and to the creature.
"(Y/N)!" Steven shouted
"Get away from that!" Garnet shouted
I ignored them and ran to the thing and touched it. It looked down at me before coming down to my level and breathed at me making me giggle.
"You're just scared aren't you..." I sympathised "What's your name?"
It tried to say something but it came out as a strangled mumble although it sounded like, Sunny.
"Sunny?" I asked and Sunny nodded happily.
I hugged Sunny
"(Y/N)..." Pearl said
Sunny hissed and stood protectively in front of me and Pearl pulled out her spear.
"Pearl! She's scared and trying to protect me!" I said climbing Sunny's fur.
"(Y/N) that's dangerous!" Pearl shouted
"Pearl, it's fine as long as she doesn't get hurt..." Garnet said stopping Pearl
