Grocery Store and Talking

Jessica's P.O.V

I got a call from Mom and Dad that night saying that something happened with Liam but that he was fine. They were also checking on me.

The next day I drove home.

Liam's P.O.V

So Jake, Lila, and Mom were at the grocery store and Dad was at work. I was once again home alone with Blake although I was getting used to him after what had happened. "So let me get this straight, you were experimented on, you ended up on the streets after having nowhere to go, and then you were taken to an animal shelter which is where Mom adopted you?"

"Yes." Blake said. Now that I got to see his nekojin form I saw how his hair matched his fur, his eyes were a grayish/purple color, he had a tail and cat ears and fangs, and his red collar stood out with it such a bright red.

I let him wear some of my old clothes that had gotten too small on me. Blake also took a shower. "To be honest, I hate water." Blake said. "So can you understand what other cats are saying?"

"Well yeah." Suddenly the doorbell rang. I jumped since I wasn't expecting anyone but sure enough there was Jessica. Blake turned back into a normal cat when he heard her voice. "Hey I'm home."

"Hey yeah whatever." I said annoyed before closing the door behind her. "Hey Blake." She said. Blake meowed. She had no idea. None of the family knew other than myself.

Lila's P.O.V

We were at the store and Jake was really annoying me. I was ready to punch him in the face until Mom asked what we wanted for dinner. Of course we both agreed on fried rice with chicken. She also got Liam ice cream and checked it to make a hundred percent sure there was no coconut.

We got a whole buggy full of chips, water bottles, meat, cookies, bread, fruit, and other stuff including cereal. There was also a ginormous stuffed teddy bear that I wanted so bad because it was like a thousand times bigger than I was! But it was too expensive.

WHY!? I kept my eyes on the teddy bear until we left. "Mom I really, really, REALLY want the teddy bear!" I yelled as we walked back to the car with the groceries. "I already said no. It's too much money right now." Mom said before putting the groceries in the car.

I had my heart set on getting that teddy bear. I WOULD get that teddy bear. I promised myself. Finally everyone got in the car and we were on our way back home.

Liam's P.O.V

Jessica was unpacking her things. I was bored. Blake was taking a nap under the couch. I watched tv, finished homework, washed the dishes, and cleaned the house before Mom got home with Jake and Lila plus a whole car full of groceries.

Jessica was asleep went I went to go ask her to help. Ugh. So yeah Jake and Lila ran inside while I helped Mom with the groceries. "Thanks Liam. I got you ice cream with no coconut."

"Thanks Mom." I said as I closed the trunk with hands full of groceries. When I walked back inside it was obvious Jake and Lila had woke Blake up and wanted to pet him or pick him up. Poor Blake didn't look happy.

With knowing that Blake was an actual person I saw things differently... like he wasn't a pet but... like... a friend going undercover. It almost made me laugh. Finally dad had gotten home and we ate dinner.

"I want the teddy bear!" Lila said. I'm guessing she saw a teddy bear sitting on a shelf or whatever and she wanted it. I shrugged it off. Blake meowed while eating. Other than that small talk we all just had a relaxing day.

Blake's P.O.V

"Ok, what does she mean by a teddy bear? What's so important about it?" I asked Liam after we were both in his room. "Like I know." He said. "Wanna play the PS4?"

"What?"

I changed into a nekojin and played with Liam. Video games were so fun! So we continued talking.

"So do you like human food or cat food better?"

"Fish."

"...ok. Taking cat naps or playing with cat nip?"

"Eh... that one's confusing."

"Oh, Tuna or Salmon?"

"Not answering that."

Liam laughed. Eventually we heard footsteps so I transformed into the cat right before Liam's door was opened. "There's Blake!" Jake yelled.

I sighed before being picked up and carried away. Liam didn't even do anything! Jake walked back upstairs with me when I finally got down. "How come Liam is Blake's favorite?" Jake asked as Lila came over there and petted me.

To be honest, the person who fed me fish was my favorite. Liam was just the only person who knew I wasn't necessarily a cat.

It was getting late but I really wanted to go outside and do something. Tonight I would find a way to get outside and explore.

And that's exactly what I did. It was maybe around midnight so it was dark. I transformed back into my nekojin self and walked a few blocks away from home.

I was being followed.

It was quiet but I heard footsteps. Who was it? If I looked back they would know that I knew they were behind me. I tried to sniff out their scent but it was someone's I didn't know.

The person continued following me as I walked around so I decided to confront this person when I knew we were out of sight. Another minute passed. I finally walked into an alleyway and turned around immediately.

Who was this person? A girl that had been following me...

"What are you? She asked before walking towards me. "Stay back! What do you want from me? Why are you following me? Tell me!"

"Ok... I just... I'm your next door neighbor. I happen to go out at night but I noticed you all of a sudden living with the neighbors and I got curious so tonight I took the chance and walked over to your place when I saw a cute kitty but then the cat transformed into you! I was all like, WHAT? I was so shocked so I followed you because I wanted to talk to you and--"

"Gosh, you talk a lot. No offense. Oh, and isn't it kind of dangerous for a girl like you to be out at night following random strangers?"

"First of all, you are not a stranger but my neighbor."

"Which you haven't met yet so technically I am a stranger to you."

"Whatever. Second of all, this is quite a peaceful town."

If only she knew about the robbery that one time. I sighed. "Ok, well I'm going back home now. Bye."

"Wait! You never told me what you were!"

"Bye!"

(Sorry it took so long to update but my Spring Break is finally here so I'm hoping that I can update more often. ☺)
