"Hi. I'm Sawyer Nova, and you're watching Disney Channel 2.0. Now back to the show!"

"Nah man," Max comes in, holding a bucket of popcorn. "It's my turn."

"Ugh. Killjoy." Sawyer snatches the bucket. "Gimme some of that."

Sky pours butter on the popcorn and "accidentally" all over Sawyer's head.

"Dude! Where'd you even get that butter?"

"My imagination...," Sky says while doing jazz hands.

"Oh my God. You can do that?!"

"Of course not. There's legit a cabinet full of popcorn butter with bright lights that say 'Popcorn Butter.'"

"Can Y'all shut up and listen? I'm telling the story now." Max continues.

*Harp music plays.*

"Dude! Where'd you get the harp music? I had to mimic that the whole time!" Sawyer complains.

*Harp music plays again.*

"This will be said one time, and one time only, so listen carefully because nothing will be repeated and turn the volume down, it's secret." the TV in my room said.

"Shit shit shit," I search for the remote around my room to turn the volume down.

"Yo Max, what was that?" My brother, Keith, shouted from his room.

"Nothing! Go back to looking at Victoria's Secret models."

"I don't do that," Keith grumbled.

I turned back to the talking TV. "What were you saying?"

"You have been chosen for a secret society called The Lost," The TV guys explains. Black dots move up and down the white screen with the frequencies of his voice. "For the next 13 days, you will see a different sign for each day that symbolizes the Lost. On the 13th day, the sign you will see will have 3 things that you must do to prove yourself. All three things must be done on that night. If you complete a task after midnight, it doesn't count. You may ask one question. After the question is answered you will not hear from me anymore, and you will be on your own."

I take some time to process this. A secret society, huh? Sounds like an adventure. "What do I get out of this?" I ask.

"You are so much smarter than the last guy," The TV laughs.

"Seriously TV guy?" Sawyer puts his fist to his heart. "I feel betrayed."

"You will learn secrets completely unknown to mankind. You will be able to unlock parts of yourself you never thought existed. Trust me, it's worth it."

"So like powers?"

"I'm not supposed to answer that, but I feel amazed by how smart you are compared to that guy so, yeah, abilities."

"Are you being serious right now? Did you actually say that TV guy?" Sawyer whined.

"He was my favorite chosen one so far. I can't believe you did what you did to him."

"SHHHHHHHH. We don't want to spoil the whole freaking book TV guy."

"It's called foreshadowing, you idiot!" Sky shouted with a mouth full of popcorn, "Look it up!"

"Can you not interrupt? Thank you very much." Max says sarcastically.

*Harp music*

"Oh, by the way, this is the first sign so, you don't have to worry about today."
